Clinton vs Trump, Trump vs Clinton

Yeah, but that's taking what he said really really literally. He knows how to sell what he's talking about to a room full of people who would never admit they have that problem, but still care about it, because they do.

I want to say he is like a verbally abusive person. He will suggest things and use subtlety to put people down, and then, when he is called out, he says people misunderstood. Kind of like gas lighting. Maybe the point is to get people to stop thinking critically about what he says.

It should be concerning that someone running for president appears to lack the ability to communicate his thoughts and ideas clearly and cohesively to an audience. He is a good salesman. I will give you that. Obviously, he is good at selling his bullshit to many.

That may be.

I don't want to say you're wrong, because I don't know... and you very well may be right, but I don't really think he was trying to be malicious. I don't think he's sinister enough to be gas lighting. I think it's more probably he's ignorant about PTSD and fucked up being politically correct. No surprise there. He's the opposite of politically correct.

I'm not saying DT is a good person. I see not much good about him but a placeholder. It's like picking between starving for a survivable amount of time or eating food that you know is poisonous.

Equally concerning to actually having bad intent (which I'm sure he did not, at least not fully consciously if at all).

The point is that he is incapable of preventing himself of political gaffes, and actually thrives on this. Americans might be fed up with the current political climate IN AMERICA, and wish for some genuine content, but at what cost? America is trolling itself with Trump. It's just stupid. Stupid fucking asshats run for office is where we are at. It's just sad. Pathetic. American politics are PATHETIC. Your vote doesn't even matter. It's a CIRCUS.

Tim Kaine straight up just called Trump's organization the real life equivalent of James Bond's SPECTRE. This is American politics.
I can't be the only one that sees the extreme depravity in all of this shit.
Nobody knows how to adult anymore. Adulting is dead.

Also, Trump's running mate is a really super guy.

Considering the options, if he is elected as a place holder I have to ask, a place holder for what? Do you think the GOP is capable of coming up with a better candidate in four years to challenge him? Do you think the Dems can come up with a candidate that would be acceptable to most GOP voters?

If he is elected the Dems will devour themselves over how Bernie was treated and will put forth an Elizabeth Warren.
And the GOP will be crying socialism and rally to Trump.
If you think there is going to be some kind of miracle where he learns how to speak respectfully and actually learns how to do things he currently does not know how to do then you have not been paying attention to him at all.

Just look at how he was incapable of preparing to debate HC for 90mins. Honestly, he came off as an old fart that likes to yell at people rather then a man who is capable of critical thinking.

The Best Case Scenario for the GOP is to loose this election and come back in four years with an actual candidate.

What does adult even mean? And when did it exist in the first place?

Legislative violence broadly refers to any violent clashes between members of a legislature, often physically inside the legislature and triggered by divisive issues and tight votes. Such clashes have occurred in many countries across time, and notable incidents still regularly occur.
Although the sight of brawling politicians is incongruous with a legislature's stately image, its occupants, like in any other workplace, are still prone to stress and anger. The confrontational nature of politics and the high stakes often add to the simmering tensions.

Hmm. I'll remember to remind myself that after the election so I don't lose my mind!

I couldn't care less if he learns to speak respectfully. That's not really a value I hold in high priority for anyone other than myself, and maybe my close friends. When people hurt my feelings I get hurt, sometimes I get angry back and then I get over it. Pretty quickly. If everyone that hurt my feelings, or that lacked social grace and political correctness was a bad person..oh jesus. We'd all be in trouble just here on the forum. You could have offended me by suggesting that I don't pay attention. If you were Trump the MSM would have spun that you were mansplaining to me because I am a woman, and headlines would be shared all over the internet that you're sexist.

I'm still voting Trump. He's better than Hillary because he's a hilarious walking meme machine that would have no support from Congress and the press watches him like a hawk. Hillary as a sociopath is nice and cozy and the press enables her to do whatever she wants. I understand people's reservations about him but the left is getting out of control. I've had people look at me straight faced and compare him literally to Hitler. This is the same people that think Muslim is an ethnicity. They hate the individual. They are so self-loathing and self destructive and project all of that off themselves that I can't be a part of that anymore and I don't want this mindset to flourish even further. She is so corrupt it is repulsive. He's probably harmless. Plus, it will be a nice satisfying fuck you to the media. It's gonna be good. Its gonna be so so good. You won't believe it. It will be tremendous.

"When you talk about the mental health problems, when people come back from war and combat and they see things that maybe a lot of the folks in this room have seen many times over and you’re strong and you can handle it. But a lot of people can’t handle it."

In his own words, he made the distinction. He said those that return without PTSD are "strong" and some "can't handle it." So basically, yes, he did say vets with PTSD are weak. Not explicitly. That is why context and comprehension are important. Trump always gets away with saying the dumbest most ignorant shit by claiming everyone twists his words. He suggests things.

The coward also said he likes people who aren't captured.... You know, POWs like John McCain. He appears to have no respect for men and women who serve in the military.
Yep, Cherry pick. In any case we see he never called anyone weak.

@CindyLou , your enthusiasm for Trumps complete otherness is greatly appreciated. During the primary I rooted for him as the best option given the choices (once Jeb backed out). Personally I believe a general or admiral would kill him with their bare hands before letting him start a major war but things could still get very sticky abroad...

The truth is somewhere between him being and incompetent President and him ushering in a period of low level civil chaos. Maybe not the food riots that @muir prophesied but not pretty all the same. Our Justice department has made great strides, in my opinion, to get many local law enforcement agencies to engage in needed reform. (much to the pissing and moaning of many a cop). Even an incompetent Executive Branch could adversely affect the direction those efforts are going.

As far as the corruption charge against HRC, a lot of shit has been thrown against the wall and what has stuck? It is difficult to believe the level of unlawful conduct she is accused of could sail through our still functional civil law and criminal law system and also not have been convincing fodder for verifiable investigative journalism.

It could well be that the real corruption and conspiracy is being deliberately obfuscated by a disinformation campaign that the "alt"-right devours like starved pirates lost at sea.

@hush could you find a nice pic of maniacal pirates?

Nope. it's called comprehending and critically thinking. Try it. I know the very thought of Hillary Clinton whips you up into such a frenzy, but you still need to put your thinking cap on.

By all means, what was he actually saying then? What was he (not) implying, then?

Stu I like what you have said here. Good thoughts most though based on nothing more than speculation. Which is fine but lets look at it from a clear perspective.

My major disagreement with you comes in regard to Hillary. Nothing has stuck because of who the Clintons are. In the small amount of information released to the public we know...we KNOW she as a minimum is guilty of espionage as it is defined. There is no doubt of that. Further we see things like...the FBI came to a deal where they were allowed to look at a small area of emails on Mills laptop and then agreed to DESTROY the laptop after they were done. As you read the reports of what transpired through this process you can see how far the corruption goes. The American people can no longer trust the FBI, all brought to light by the Clintons influence. I cant force you to see what is directly in front of you and everyone. Beware though what you are buying. I think its an obvious Trojan horse compared to what you have convinced yourself you are getting.

Try this. Think of a person you repect greatly. I assume there is someone you know in thr public eye who you respect.
Now imagine them in a room full of Armed Forces personnel saying exactly what You quoted from Trump. Do your best to actually try and do this. How do you view what was said now?
