The side of the bed and driving

Okay, I guess this is slightly psychological...

I heard of a theory on the radio today. Apparently the person who drives most in a relationship sleeps on the driver's side of the bed. Over here that would mean the right. It's certainly true for me, and it seems true for most people in the UK. What about those who drive on the right though?

I sleep on the left side of the bed, but usually when I hang out with a friend, they do the driving.

No. I'm not confused. In the US and most of Europe you drive on the right, but the left is the driver's side. It's vice versa here.
