These people in northern India have developed a relationship with tree roots to help their environment survive the monsoon rains. This video shows a father teaching his daughter how to gently care for the tree's roots so she and generations to come will be safe and thrive.
I wish I had her job.

Look how happy he is showing her exactly what to do. Look how happy she is as she's learning from him.

It is amazing - isn't it?

I watched it again this morning with a smile of wonder on my face.
I noted I had it wrong about father and daughter. It was an uncle teaching his niece. But no matter.

I saw more trees just existing out, seemingly, almost in mid air above the water.
Really beautiful place.
