Thought this would do just as well in the WTAF thread but since it is an interesting look at the technology used at the IRS it better fits here. And yes, this was still current as of last year and there is little reason to think they have upgraded since.

The IRS needs to update their tech, God that's awful. However, I'm not surprised because the United States is a slow country to update and change for the better.

@Pin - I was quite terrified when first hearing of them still using COBOL and the rest but there was another article I saw recently that kind of explained why they are so 'unfortunate' with their updates... might have been this one.
