It's not called that, it is indeed an exaggeration, but I thought since no one seems to know about this I would share. A few days ago a bill was in the Swedish Parliament, one they'd passed before, needing to be approved again. It states that trangender people seeking sex correction surgery must

a) be completely sterilized before or during the surgery

and

b) cannot be in possession of frozen egg and sperm. All must be destroyed.

This is rather controversial in Sweden, especially considering their typical "liberal forward looking" attitude to these sort of things. Of course the Christian Democratic Party is behind it.

http://www.newsmill.se/node/42697 an article about it and the activist fighting it

Knowing the Swedes, it wont pass. The Christian Democrats in Sweden apparently don't hold very many seats in their legislature.

They have about 2% in national polls, and they've been under the parlimentary minimum for the last two years, ever since they got into parliment, they only sit there because the conservatives support-vote for them, to keep the alliance intact. The Christian Democrats forced another investigation before proceeding with changes. Now, you might say, an investigation is never bad, it's always good to investigate things. The problem is, they've investigated this issue in the parliment two times before the last years, they are just trying to delay the changes as long as possible. This means atleast a year more of forced sterilization, something which is the current reality for swedes, this is not a new law, this is a law that is currently implented, that almost all swedes want abolished.

Yeah thanks for clarifying this; they've already approved it.

The Swedes seriously endorse a eugenicist policy? Well that is horribly depressing.
