Sad mainly because of the context. It's from one of the endings of Saya no Uta. Do not find out what that is if you're weak at heart or can't handle ambiguous amorality in a Lovecraftian love story where an eldritch abomination is starcrossed with a deranged human and you actually feel sympathy for them. While they murder and eat people.
