So can the vocal minority figure this out? Can we as a nation move to a mindset like this? And what will it take?

That was a good speech along with a good message.

For a whole nation to start thinking in that fashion a lot of prejudice has to be dropped, and active critical thinking will need to replace sheep mentality. That sometimes can be difficult, sometimes I wonder if it isn't simply in our human nature...

I do think it's possible to achieve however. Perhaps it won't make a difference right now, but if we ourselves adopt it, teach it to our children and set an example for them, they might be able to make a difference.
