Remote desktop apps

What apps do you use to connect with your desktop computer from afar?
Which ones have been most efficient for you? Which ones most effectively allow you to open tabs/programs from afar? Does it allow you to type messages to the computer program from the phone?

Right now I'm using Splashtop but I'm experimenting with other stuff to find something more efficient long-term.

TeamViewer. hands down.

splashtop wasn't my thing, Windows Remote Assistance blows, and good luck using skype/lync well for that.

There's also apparently a chrome remote desktop app, but i use linux for its seamless windows/NIX integration.

You can even tunnel the audio music to the remote computer (e.g. i heard my brother's spotify playlist (still played locally for him) when i was connected to his PC.

I use team viewer as well.
I do not leave my computer on when I am not there though.

I use team viewer mostly just to help people fix stuff and be helped fixing stuff. Or just to screen share.

I'm not a fan of teamviewer (granted the only time I've used it was to connect to a shity 2008 server on a slooow connection, not the greatest advert for it)


Also I just found a cool Plugin for that juice ssh app, does stuff like this:
