I think at least some of these guys are INFJs, or their songs are quite infj-y
what do you think?
I think that their songs are incredibly emotional, and display layers of emotions. He also sings often of fear, doubt and being standoffish with regards to relationships. I relate to a lot of what they sing about.
hell even their playing of the music is emotional.
whatever they are, they are beautiful and there music is very special.

INFJ? Maybe. I don't know how you can attribute INFJ to the band more than any other type though.

Anyway if you like Mumford and Sons you should check out Laura Marling, Fleet Foxes, and Bellowhead.

I <3333333333333 bellowhead!

attending one of their concerts is a dream of mine....

I would die if I could ever play in the band for just one song....

just...diiiiiiiieeee

Haha yeah, my Dad is an aging English folk musician so I grew up listening to the likes of The Brass Monkeys and The John Kirk Patrick Band ect. It's nice to see Bellowhead continuing the pattern without having to modernise it like these newer bands try to do. Oh and without Eliza Carthy, she annoys me.

I know, it's like every folk band want her to perform several tracks on their album, in spite of the fact that there are plenty of beautiful female vocalists in the english folk world...

I don't hate the modern style, but I certainly don't listen to it a lot by choice. I like the fact however that the more modern style of brit folk mean that younger people are now listening to bands like Show of Hands [who are awesome!], Imagined Village and salsaCeltica [sp?] and gaining an appreciation for all the old folk songs.

but I'm much more of a fan of all the old british song writers, Martin Simpson, Roy Bailey and some of the more traditional bands....

oh and I also like the wurzels :d

bah...I saw them live in Devon if that helps...

they're west country!

and i'm Cornish, not Somersetian :d

I meant the Wurzels as being Somerset scum. :p

Them being 2 counties over means you're not obliged to despise them. It's common knowledge that every county in England has to hate the county next to them.

There's a sort of understated smugness about the band name and the music that makes my skin crawl. It's a bit like somebody crossbred Coldplay, a bunch of morris dancers and added a sprinkle of hipster self-satisfaction for good measure. So I'm a hater, but it's just a matter of personal preference. I just happen to like musical arrogance worn with a certain swagger:

lol which band are you talking about now? that discription could work for either band, especially considering the stuff the Wurzels are getting into now....

ah I get it, so it's you I have to hate!

right.

I don't like this band strictly on the principle
of having a shitty name.
