My mom is great! She is 84, and very active. But there are some mom's out there who are true mental cases, I know some of you had weird interactions with your moms yesterday, or even bizarre (passive aggressive?) non interactions with them.

    Anybody want to fess up?

BTW, my favorite saying of my mom's when I was growing up was "There are young bums on the Bowery* too you know."

*the Bowery was New York City's "Skid Row," notable for "Bowery Bums" (disaffiliated alcoholics and homeless persons)._-----[Benedict Giamo, On the Bowery: confronting homelessness in American Society (University of Iowa Press) 1989.]
