This is an amazing site i found today, you can enroll to online courses from top universities for free. From agriculture and nutrition to biology and machines, it's simply amazing.

The other classroom run, certificate offering program is https://www.edx.org/

Also, "t was announced in November 2012 that Coursera would work with the American Council on Education (ACE) to evaluate credit equivalency for the Coursera courses."

And I read that Coursera has been constantly trying to find ways to turn the service into a pay-for service (since the company was originally founded as a for-profit business and the schools and company have been paying out of their own pockets so far along some funds from venture capitalists). In otherwords, I don't know how much longer Coursera will remain entirely free. So it's best to take advantage now.
