So a lot of socionics articles were written by Russian scholars so these are loosely translated and might sound a little funny.
The one about subtypes (http://www.wikisocion.org/en/index.php?title=ILI_subtypes) I think I need to explain. Within all the types (there are 16 in socionics), they have 2 subtypes. So for example, I am an LIE. The type LIE, their information element sequence goes like this: Te-Ni-Fe-Si. So the first two functions, Te & Ni are in their main ego. So with subtypes, you can be more "first cognitive dominant" or "second cognitive dominant", for me, I'm LIE-Ni. So for an ILI, you can be ILI-Te or ILI-Ni. The link above talks about the difference.
