aerosol Hmm... that's a good question. I might go for a different set of characters entirely.

Looking for Better Programmers to Learn From

Well, from what little I've done so far, I've been finding the Golden T Game Engine for Java to be helpful. I've been using it through JRuby. Isometric tiling, and the purple square has a velocity (though you can't tell by the screenshot, lol). There is support for audio and input, too.

Looking for Better Programmers to Learn From

Haha, why thank you. :m027: I actually test as an INTJ, though I don't hold quite as much faith in the MBTI these days as I once did. My listed type doubles as a tongue-in-cheek representation of INTJ! Check it out: - (subtraction) for Introversion, since I subtract myself from groups...

Looking for Better Programmers to Learn From

That's okay!! I'm going to have to teach my friend Java for MineCraft modding anyways, and he's coming from Prolog! :O I'm only a beginner at Ruby myself anyways - so we can learn together if you like. Send me a PM! My schedule's about to go topsy-turvy as we go into finals week and then...

Can you link me to Sam's Guides? I googled it, but all I found was a site on birds. <_<

Need some Computer advice, pwease ^^

Windows 7 is great. Fixes most of my annoyances with XP, and has great compatibility. Macbooks have EXCELLENT battery life. Macs are certainly slick, and are generally well-built. A Windows desktop PC is the best for gaming. I wouldn't personally spend the money required for an iMac...

Looking for Better Programmers to Learn From

Hey all! My sophomore year of college is drawing to a close, and I've realized by now that the majority of my programming knowledge has come from personal study, not my classes. When next year rolls around I'll take it upon myself to have personal visits with my professors and ask for...

What Does It Mean to Have a Gender?

I was discussing this with a friend earlier today when I wondered what INFJ Forum might have to say on the subject. What exactly does gender signify? In what manner am I male? Gender seems to be a label which generalizes people into (usually) a binary system. When more options are...

a challenge for our MBTI gurus

Haha, I'm with Morgain. In a way.

a challenge for our MBTI gurus

That could explain it. I most certainly DON'T yet have the experience to know that. Pretty much every conversation I've had about programming has been with people at or below my level, or if with someone above my level it was about something I didn't fully understand yet. Hence the need to...

a challenge for our MBTI gurus

Sorry NV, doesn't sound like me to me. It could very well be INTP. It's extremely detached, concise, and impersonal. The writing is precise enough, but it still has to be "translated" into my mind. To be honest, I find it quite difficult to read. Whereas I see myself as focusing on the...

    Portal 2

I wonder who that singular little AI ball is, it looks like he's supposed to be your friend.

    Living without the 3 C's.

My first thought was that I avoid those Cs by default pretty well, but then I went to criticize your grammar. It's "supposed to" not "suppose to". =P

Out of the Silent Plant, eh? That series was alright, my favorite was Perelandra.
