  • I just find it odd to be so obsessed with living that we go from occasional harvesting of organs to making it almost mandatory.
See now you're saying that some people deserve to get out of shitty circumstances more than others and that is what I'm talking about.

I'm not referring to the old and irresponsible. It's easier to accept their fate because it is expected. But when you start saying that so-and-so is too young and deserved a chance, that is exactly the kind of bargaining I'm referring to. If nobody dies young and we come to expect that everyone gets a chance, then it WILL be the elderly and irresponsible who fill that void because enough is never enough.
Transplants aren't unrealistic to perform, but clinging to life in that manner is.

If transplants become the norm people will come to expect them, and will have even less appreciation for mortality, therefore be more tied to staying alive as long as possible. There'd be little fear of something like organ failure because the answer will always be to "just get a new one". We then lose a bit more appreciation for death and come closer to expecting immortality, which is what is unrealistic.
Hey SealHammer! I was reading that compatibility thread. I pictured you separating muir and eventhorizon into separate corners and giving muir a coloring book and eventhorizon some legos. Awesome.
Iceland is at the top of my bucket list for that very reason! It's like another planet.
Hey! The picture I posted is from Landmannalaugar, Iceland. As far as I'm aware it has not been photoshopped. The area has a lot of sulphur and the entire landmass is volcanic, so you end up with some amazing colours!
"Horatio and SealHammer's Soundbox" Or Garden. Like the band? I dunno, direct is the easy route, I agree.
"Horatio and SealHammer Get Knocked Down, But Get Up Again (They're Never Gonna Keep Us Down)" ?
