    Some may consider it romantic if I tried to persuade her from doing otherwise, but I see it as selfish behavior coming from fear and scarcity, rather than abundance and love. Thank you for your comment :).

    Yes, I agree. It's always a person's sovereign choice to leave or stay. It is, in my mind, the most loving thing to let someone go. It cannot be love if people are not free to leave.
