It is a little more complicated than that. Militaries do hurt, and that is inevitable, but in some cases those within the military can work to mitigate this. My job makes sure that as few people are harmed as possible. It is a difficult environment to exist in, and I do recognize it, but...

I think Zen is interesting in that there is some inappropriate activity, the dharma heir of my teacher was involved in some inappropriate conduct, but most Buddhists do not care. People are fallible, the Dharma is still valid, however.

I know a member of that Sangha, at least I think I do. There cannot be that many sanghas in Utah, and I know that teacher I believe. They liked it a lot.

What form of zen do you practice? I'm a member of a Soto-zen sangha. Just curious.
