i love poetry, people and potatoes (all in moderation)

Biography: getting close to 50 years old. i grew up in southern california (close enough to disneyland to see the fireworks at night). immersed in catholicism in a positive way. a large sicilian/eastern european family.
had some difficult times growing up due to family violence.

as a young adult i became interested in social justice. activism. teaching. my career has been in social services. i married at 23 and have two incredible daughters. i was married to their dad for 22 years. we had a conventional marriage and then an agreed-upon unconventional marriage. we ended our marriage a few years ago but have never ended our friendship.

now i live in a little house with my cat. i relate to being a bisexual hermit. (much more attracted by someone's gentleness than their gender). interested in spirituality but not any religion in particular. consistently daydreamy.

right now i'm smack dab in the middle of cancer treatment which is weird and okay. my cancer type has a good survival rate so i'm looking forward to a long old ladyhood when this is done.
