Very sad to read that Clarence Clemons has passed away. I think he was a big part of Bruce Springsteens success, and Bruce paid tribute to him in the third verse of Tenth Avenue Freeze out.

I hadn't realised he'd been ill so it came as a bit of a shock. I guess he had a good life and was successful, but 69 still seems a little too young. I always think a good saxophone player can breath life into a band and he certainly did that.

There's been an Anna Calvi song going round my head a lot recently which somehow feels appropriate too (or not).

RIP Clarence.

His last piece of work before the stroke. A song about the last moment on earth. Coincidence?
