Long time married. Going thru a rocky time. New to the MBTI concept.

So, a couple of questions:
1. Anyone have any luck seeing a professional MBTI counselor?
2. Did it give any tools to help the relationship?

1. No - but - we have had great success seeing a marriage counselor. She understands a lot of the concepts of MBTI without defining them that way. What's important is that we both trust her and have established a safe place to unearth our deepest desires, fears and challenges.
2. ABSOLUTELY. I highly recommend you find a good one asap.

just understanding MBTI and each other will help a lot. It might help explain a lot of things. For example; sometime INFJ's vent to their loved one's and it can sometimes annoy people. If she understands you need someone to vent to and that you choose her because you love and trust her it might make her see things different.

But that's just a hypothetical situation. You should definitely try to both understand MBTI it will improve knowledge of self.
