So, my mom and I are both INFJ's. We're the only two people we know of that can stand to be around each other for days and never feel drained, but enriched.

Anyways, in our down time we've been watching this show about alien/human hybrids trying navigate through life by avoiding people that would harm them and still make meaningful connections with the people that won't. I have never seen a show resonate with my emotions more than this show.

Even the theme song is sung by Dido, who is an INFJ herself and the lyrics again, are just the story of my life. Maybe we're both just hyperfixating, but if any of y'all are like me and mom, I think you'll enjoy it. Whoever wrote it is definitely a feeling type.

Great show, I watched it back when it aired on TV.
It deserved at least a couple more seasons.
I've forgotten most of it now but I really enjoyed it at the time.

Never watched the reboot, I forgot it even existed

I haven't seen it but I'm always looking for a good throwback to burn some time every now and again. 1999 seems like a lifetime ago, I can remember where I was and what I was doing but it almost feels like a past life. There was the the Y2K projects I was working on with a couple different companies. Technology was starting to make a rapid upswing. The Columbine High School massacre happened. Sponge Bob Square Pants had its debut and Napster released. I wonder if anyone remembers Napster. Of course, I live in Oklahoma and one of the largest tornados ever (F5) came through Oklahoma City that year. Of course I was living in Tulsa at the time, but the tornado did destroy the home I lived in when I had lived in the OKC area.

I've never been much of an aliens movie watcher and most of the time the shows are evil, scarry aliens (like: Alien / Aliens, Predator, Independence Day. The X-Files was pretty cool, but I didn't watch it until after the show had stopped airing. Of course, who could forget Star Trek with Jean Luke Piccard - but I suppose humans were technically the aliens in those episodes.

Ok, so the aliens in this show, are they more human like than alien and they're only alien because the show tells us they are, or do we get to see glimpses of alien like anatomy? The idea of the show sounds very different from most alien shows / movies.

It is very different! A bit laid back at first. They are alien/human hybrids, but not like mommy was an alien and daddy was an earthling. They were lab grown human babies, they are fully human, but their DNA is mixed with the original alien race DNA, - being the alien race that grew them and put them on Earth. The show begins with them in high school. They know each other and what they are and the first season revolves around how they process that in their relationships with other people. It's endearing.

Also, that's crazy to hear about that tornado. I would be so freaked out that I couldn't deal.

Cool, I’ll keep it mind when I get ready to watch something. Thanks for the share.
