I remember there were several moments in my life that I thought I might have needed eyeglasses but I never got around to getting eyeglasses because I generally never liked going to see doctors dealing with physical health. Even the thought of seeing an optometrist was kind of scary to me. I remember the first time my vision started to get blurred was my very first time playing video games on a Game Boy Advance SP system for several hours a day in seven consecutive days. Going to school became a little difficult because I had to sit near the front of the classroom just to see what was written on the board. The interesting thing was that the somewhat poor vision eventually corrected itself after about several months. I had a relative that gave me her old desktop PC Windows 1995 which was my very first computer and I got so heavily invested in playing that game Pinball. That old Pinball game was the best pinball game I have ever seen and even today, I would argue that there is no other Pinball game as good as that old one from like 18 years ago. I recall every time after being done with my homework that I was just to excited and desired to go play Pinball. I spent hours playing that game and I noticed my vision became a little blurred. The interesting thing was that poor vision corrected itself in about several days. The process in which the poor vision corrected itself occurred numerous times as I became addicted to playing Pinball on my desktop PC. There were times in which I noticed that the vision corrected itself more quickly when it was sunny and I went outside for a long walk. When it was cloudy, it did took a longer time for the vision to correct itself but nonetheless the vision did eventually correct itself, which in my opinion is still a positive thing. I grew up in San Diego, California and so it might have given me a slight advantage to become fully aware of the process of the somewhat poor eye vision correcting itself given the fact that it was practically sunny virtually everyday. This is also one of the reasons why I am considering going back to Southern California because Northern California always seems cloudy and a bit colder which is a little depressing. It even rain one day in July of this year.

I remember reading articles about how the sun is so bad for you and even as far back in public elementary school, we got notices of not looking directly at the sun because you can go blind. I am not a skin specialist but I suspect in the midst of all the negativity with regard to the damaging effects of the sun, there must be some kind of positive out of it. I remember Oprah Winfrey did a show once with this one homeless man out in the Los Angeles area and he was homeless for over 25 years sleeping outside and not in a homeless shelter because he didn’t like people telling him what to do. He didn’t wear any eyeglasses or sunglasses and it appeared his vision was fine as he was talking to Oprah on camera. Or even just look at some Youtube videos by this one guy that goes around interviewing homeless people and his channel is Invisible People. I myself have wandered the streets of San Francisco and have personally witnessed homeless people sitting and sleeping outside without any eyeglasses or sunglasses. Months later, I would wander the streets of San Francisco once again and recognize the same people and their eyesight appears to be fine.

It almost seems very straightforward and logical that if you are experiencing eye vision problems to get eyeglasses for the very purpose of allowing yourself to see better but in a way, I think it might actually harm you or make your vision worst. If your mind perceives what is to be perfect vision or eyesight with the variable of the eyeglasses included, you can once again have blurred vision just by playing a portable game system for hours. Then you may decide to get even thicker eyeglasses. I just think that sometimes it is best to allow the human body to heal itself because the human body is a beautiful piece of art. Of course, there are always exceptions to every rule and this includes some rare eyes problems that can cause people to go blind eventually. I am simply looking at this whole issue more from a psychological standpoint as well as the power of the placebo effect in actually believing in real recovery as a possible state of mind conception. Finally, there is of course the proper nutrition variable that can have its implications as well but that is off tangent.

The issue of wearing sunglasses is I think to be the most fascinating because there just seems to be a lot of weird factors and possibilities involved. Some people say you should wear sunglasses to protect your eyes from the sun (once again as if the sun is like this demon) yet by lessening the amount of light coming into your eyes, recovery of somewhat poor eyesight may be prolonged or impossible. My parents and grandparent’s generation never wore sunglasses and they never even existed yet they had excellent eyesight. My maternal grandmother lived until she was 90 years old and never wore eyeglasses or sunglasses and although it may take a bit longer for her to see some things in certain lighting conditions (natural process of aging), for the most part she could see a lot of things pretty clear. My mother is now in her late 50s and she never wore sunglasses or eyeglasses and her vision is crystal clear. She can’t drive and takes public transportation a lot and one can imagine the amount of sun exposure she is incurring by standing outside at the bus stop waiting for the bus to arrive. I remember the many times in my past during my teenage years where I stayed in the house all day for several days and when I finally went outside with the beautiful sunshine present, I felt refreshed and after about 5-10 minutes of just standing outside in the sun, I became highly sensitive to the beautiful colors of plants and trees around me. Even when I was sick for several days and after I fully recovered, standing outside in the sun made me feel better. When I first heard of bright light therapy and seasonal affective disorder in my physiological psychology class, I was kind of skeptical probably because I think I had a low awareness level as to the benefits of being exposed to light. If you are sensitive and perceptive enough, and once you bring the unconscious or the subconscious to a fully consciousable level, it is simply amazing to see that which you could not have seen had you not done such a microscopic almost unnoticed act. I believe even Pharmacist Ben Fughs once talked about the benefits or taking off or getting rid of your sunglasses a couple of times on the Alex Jones Show too.
