I am a lot less trusting of liberalism or the left altogether because of this.

But anyway I live in Canada and I've had all of these experiences that aren't all together seemingly "liberal" in action, even though Canada has always on the outset been considered relatively "liberal" the problem is, I think most Canadians are in the dark and don't really know what is going on, and let the government do or get away with practically anything.

For one, the post education system here is quite expensive, and often times it's hard not to get a debt without getting a degree, and as well though, this doesn't guarantee one a job at all. Another weird thing though is they are making is mandatory for individuals to have degrees if they even want to live anywhere (as in rent apartment or such, which is all anyone can afford anyway) which again, is discrimination, but the government doesn't seem to care at all. They ask to see your resume, credit history, and again, the mandatory post-secondary degree. There were some individuals even saying that they wanted or would only associated/rent with people who had two degrees, and that they had to be like a masters or bachelors degree, which is ridiculous to me.

Not only that, but they are in many places, rising the cost of housing all of the time in many places, without the government doing anything to control inflation hardly; with not to mention the cost of living generally going up all of the time as well.

There's also not that many job opportunities anyway, and all that Canada has is mostly big corporations, and generally it has never had the biggest or most flourishing economy compared to some places, whilst there is hardly any social aid given to those who have been hurt by this or left out in the cold. Also it's really repressive as well, and I find that many Canadians now feel the need and ability to stipulate widely how others should spend their time and in some parts of Canada I lived, there was virtually no free speech, or individual rights. I want that even in politic, if you carry on an act a certain way, it will make other Canadians angry or upset at you and you will visibly attract noticeable scorn or hostility. Likewise, I have found that they will not talk or associate with you if you do not act and carry on in the same way, and have the same hobbies and everything.

For one, everything is become like 'Middle Eastern' in a sense that for example. many people are expected to be highly athletic, do yoga, and as well all of those Eastern philosophies are really popular too, like 'mindfulness' (which, is again, expected, if you're not "positive" or "mindful" no one will talk to you or get irate and upset with you)

And also, a lot of people are on anti-depressants, because their eyes are dilated all of the time and you can tell that they are sedated or something.

So yeah.

KTHNX BYE.

So, um yeah, just kind of curious.

Anyway, here's how responsible and involved young Canadians are. Honestly I sometimes think I would do better in America almost. Not just because of the policies or how things are run in Canada, it's just for whatever reason, a lot of other Canadians don't like me, but yet I've always felt more of a kindred spirit with American's (culture wise) an growing up I thought that was how Canada was too, but it's hardly anything like that. And likewise I was taken to much better in Quebec, which had fought for it's independence and still has it. I also have American ancestry, so I just don't jive with other Canadians or something and I never have so I have no idea.So I don't know if that makes me selfish, but Canadians just don't seem to like me that much.Even when I'm around American and stuff, I don't feel in a "best friends" kind of way, but I feel more comfortable around or like I can click with them a bit more. I think it's because as well, Canada has always secretly never really supported the working class (again, no individual rights) and they don't believe in giving everyone an 'equal chance'

It takes after old Britain in this way, and that's the history of Canada and it reflects very well.(it's never implicity stated and it's not very obvious but I think tha'ts what it is partially) plus it's just really hive minded and I AM JUST NOT WIRED THAT WAY I DO NOT KNOW WHAT IT IS, IT JUST DOESN'T WORK FOR ME. I CANNOT TUNE INTO THE HIVE MIND FREQUENCY AND THEY ALWAYS HATE ME (the kumbaya group people) they all hate me. They think I'm weird. I'm kind of 'surly' and intense, and I can be very pensive and brooding and kind of moody. I don't know what it is. My grandfather was very proud of his heritage and he was kind of similar in that way, he was very serious and intense and a very strong and independent person. he had piercing green eyes.(but then, a lot of Canadians are all about capitalism) so I guess that's why I wonder if the Nordic countries are more tolerant.

Even look wise though, I don't look like a lot of Canadians, so in general, I am pretty sure I do not even have the same ancestry as a lot of Canadians (obviously still European) but stillllllll, not the same as whatever most Canadians are.

Well now that America is nationalist, I've seen on facebook (through friends of friends) a lot of America's start off working blue collar type jobs and still do relatively where as now this is like impermissible in Canada. Plus, I've been told (I think in an almost insulting way?) that I seem more like an America, because I am energetic I guess and fairly motivated and I am sort of "rebellious" I mean in a sense, I'm not all about obeying tradition, and authority and being kind of repressive or really serious with your dress style and stuff.

So, I am really motivated too. I am not sure how I feel about capitalism, but sometimes I think I am just too motivated for Canada? plus I just find Canada weird lately, I'm starting to see a lot of flaws in it and I feel like a lot of the mindset of Canadians hold it back from things really moving forward at all so I wonder why I even live here. The more I think about it, don't a lot of people like me usually end up in America anyway? I don't want to chase the cheese but I've always felt like I need something to put my energy into. I can't help it. Also, I am from a kind of poor-ish family, and I feel in Canada, I am now judged all of the time for my background but then I think in general it' just because of the way I am? (like I already said) I think all of the hostility I receive in Canada is due to how I am.
I was really rebellious when I was younger and there's always been that part of me in my nature and it's also something that I think has followed me.
Also, I think a lot of Canadians have Scandinavian and Nordic ancestry, amongst other things.

I feel like my background is always held against me, but I've noticed in America culture that being blue collar has always been celebrated a bit more? plus, something about the culture just makes me feel so uneasy and it feels icky to me sometimes. It just feels weird to me and I cannot get into it.

I met some girl who felt the same way and she actually went to America and liked it more and seems to feel sick of Canada. She's kind of like how I am in some ways, and she likes me, where as, I don't know if I ever receive much fan service anywhere else.
