Well we wouldn't need it if we fixed the countries people are fleeing from. Though I know I'm the minority holding a view for interventionism.

Intervention isn't bad its just done for the wrong reasons. Few remember the UN intervention in Bosnia/Serbia that saved millions from genocide.

These countries won't fix themselves, otherwise they would have. The government and cartels hold all the weapons and power. The population are fleeing because they have no hope. People with hope don't run. Give them the hope of their homeland back.
