You've got a sleep disorder, April, it's very clear.

If it's possible for you, try to seek diagnosis.

I don't think trying to force yourself to sleep will get you to sleep. What might help is already fully going into a fantasy thought with your mind, that tends to drop easier into dreaming, works for me.

Also no screen light/other light/noise/eating after 8pm/coffee after 4pm/... etc. etc.

@Deleted member 16771 ive tried. Doctors tell me to exercise... I mean really, I've been down that road too! Ive dealt with with this my whole life. But they just wave me off. :/ I'll keep trying though. Thanks.
@dragulagu I do that constantly anyways, haha! I don't even mean to, it just happens lol. But yeag my mind has saved the entire night before, only to drift off around 4 or 5 when I've had to be up at 6!

Doctors aren't generally aware - you need a sleep specialist.
