So glad you’re having a low pain day. Oof, I hate that you have to live with that pain. I’m doing great. Thanks for asking!! Just doing a lot of grading hha
Oh boy!
Are you a teacher?
Somehow I’ve ended up with a bunch of scorpio vegan teachers as the type of woman I end up in serious relationships or married to, hahaha.
Even Sensiko who I am with now, is a scorpio, was a vegan and mostly is still, and taught elementary school for quite a few years - she’s an INFJ and not a narcissist so I credit those factors for the relationship success here lol.
Do you like it?
Scorpio vegan teachers, hahaha. That is so specific. You clearly have a type! Hahaha. Aw your partner must be very sweet and very patient to have done that job for so long! Yes, I am an educator.. I started out as a preschool teacher for special needs children, then I taught high school history, and now I’m doing my first year as a professor of history,. It’s been a long road, but I’m enjoying it!
Wow how awesome!
Yeah...it’s funny bc I would always find out after the fact that they were those similar things...clearly I like smart women though!
Professor!
How wonderful!
If I ever am able to go back to working there is a college in Portland that offered me a teaching job for surgical procedures and techniques as well as medical terminology and anatomy..
*sigh* maybe one day!
What type of history have you been focusing on?
I actually almost took a job at a college in Oregon! Jobs in academia are kind of hard to come by so I applied to a bunch of colleges and universities all over the country in places I’d like to live. The Pacific Northwest seems like my kind of place.. but in the end i got a better paying job closer to home. I really hope you can someday go back to work because that seems like a pretty sweet deal!
I specialize in military history (especially WWI), but I have lots of other interests like precolonial Latin America and medieval history (especially Britain). I have a lot of respect for anyone who works in the medical field, though., it’s such a demanding and thankless job!
Wow...WWI!
I was just reading about the development of chemical warfare beginning in WWI and beyond...mostly the early trials were total failures or they poisoned themselves lol. Anyhow.
That is cool!!
It was thankless but it came with feelings of great personal accomplishment, so it evened out, lol.
Yes...I love the PNW! It was sunny and 70 with a cool breeze yesterday and today it’s like 65 and a couple of sprinkles.
Moving up from southern CA, the air and green is phenomenal!
Oof, I have so much to say about chemical warfare during WWI, hhahaha. You’re right, though.. they did pretty much poison themselves.
Aw I’m sure that it was a very fulfilling job for you! I hope you can return to it in the future <3
