This is true. Equating learning to understanding causes people to turn into copy/paste machines.

Well, I don't know if this is true for everyone - I have only seen it with S types in this way (although that's what, 75% of the population) though there was something about taking things whole and undigested from society without applying them personally. It's worthy of its own thread to discuss.

I think it applies to a lot of N people as well. Except INFJs and ENTPs.

Well most of mine are from elsewhere - I just use them for the effect or because they sound good. It did inspire the writing of the Mercury chapter, not that it's likely to happen as I have to deal with SQL instead today..
