    MBTI Poll

The real one: Once. The online versions: 3 or 4 times, after that there's really no point in doing it anymore.

How to tell if you're an INFJ

When you put it that way, I don't see how I could not be an INFJ. :) Good list VH.

How to tell if you're an INFJ

Maybe INTJ? Fi would be your tertiary, which might explain it being somewhat of a strength.

    Self Analysis Intrinsicly Selfish?

People need to think of themselves. Not only of themselves, but yes, everyone does it, and needs to in order to function. I suppose pure selfishness is what we as humans try to avoid. In addition, I think that pure selflessness (often selflessness is seen in a positive light), can be very...

    [PUG] Intuitives contrasted to Sensors

This is one of the reasons I got so much relief from discovering my type: to know I wasn't crazy, or useless, just different.

    Holland Assessment

True. One thing that I think they could do, with holland's and MBTI, is give some "job" choices. Simple jobs that would also fit people according to their type. Like the one I have now isn't a career job, but it does let me be absorbed into my own world, and I don't have to socialize too much...

    Holland Assessment

I think I did the version that you pay for and got either AIS or ASI. Can't remember which. It's kind of funny that there were only like three career choices. Something in Research, the fine arts, and Liguistics. It seems the more your score involes C, R, and E, in any order, your career...

What did knowing your type bring to your life?

I feel the same. Even though I don't post in the forums so much, I feel thankful for those that do. Pristinegirl, your comment says a lot to me. Oh, and thank you all for sharing your experiences, good and bad, for I think both are valid for learning. :)

What did knowing your type bring to your life?

Well said, Questingpoet. I totally feel the "not having to hide" bit. May - I understand what you mean. Even Jung said (I think) you could break it down to 16, 32, 64, and so on. I guess I think of it this way. As you are an INTP, I'm sure there are many INTPs out there who are very different...

What did knowing your type bring to your life?

Hey there, and welcome bagelriffic! That's interesting. Our "shadow", or the weaknesses we possess but usually tend to project onto others, is also considered to be a source of hidden strengths and creativity, as in trying to find a way to positively express that part of yourself. Your post...

What did knowing your type bring to your life?

I know that many people here and elswhere online have a somewhat negative view of MBTI, as if it is somewhat of a cult, but all that aside: What did recognizing your type bring into your life? For me, I felt greatly validated as a person having preferences for iNtuition. To know that it was...

If you would write a book, would you use a pseudonym

I think it's a mixture of both. The world disregards aspects of myself, probably because I don't show them to the world. But, the reason I don't show them to the world is probably due to having certain "aspects" trampled on a few times. :) So, I think now I "screen" people before I open up too much.

What type of intellectual are you?

The Philosopher You scored 22% empirical, 2% public, and 55% teaching-oriented You are The Philosopher! The realm of ideas is your domain, and you relish any chance to act as guide for others. You strive for order in your mental and physical life, and you get it. You probably write a lot...

If you would write a book, would you use a pseudonym

A little bit of both probably. I think I tend to keep certain thoughts, ideas, and feelings within myself, partly because they seem fairly obvious to me, but that isn't necessarily the case for others around me. Besides my wife, I have one ENFP friend who I feel comfortable enough to share my...

If you would write a book, would you use a pseudonym

I don't think anybody ever sees the real me, faults and all, but my wife. I just realized how beyond terrible it would be for my relationship with the world if she were to suddenly die. With the little things she does that I take for granted, she has made a deep and lifelong connection with me...
