    INFJs and Enneagram

When I took the test recently, I got 6w5 too. But when I took the test in college, I think I was a 5 or 4. I don't know as much about the enneagram as I do about MBTI, but I am wondering if a lot more people during this recession have been testing as 6...I know for me, as someone in their 20s...

    Stress and the INFJ

Yes, thank you sooo much for posting this. It is very interesting, and really explains a lot. I went through the stress levels for my type (INTJ) and there were some interesting revelations. I can definitely become an ENTJ under a moderate amount of stress...I am naturally a "go-getter" and so...

    Irrational fear of authority

I have wondered about having an irrational fear of authority myself. It is not that fear the person so much as the kind of power they have. Sometimes they are professors...because if they don't like you, they can fail you out of a program you have worked so hard for. Other times they are bosses...

    INJ's and extraverted sensing

Very interesting article with interesting insight into the inferior function. I can definitely relate to the person who said they need their fantasy escape. I am not addicted to TV or anything, but watching a couple of hours a night really helps me to escape. Having a couple of hours to read a...

    blaming yourself for everything

Wow, yes, I do have a bad habit of doing that. Even if I am indirectly related to the problem, I still start beating myself up over it and blaming myself for the problem.

INFJs, do you cuss a lot?

*sigh* sadly it is a problem I am trying to overcome. I grew up in an environment where there was a lot of cussing, and I felt like i would not be heard if I did not cuss...I felt it made me more powerful, but I realize now it makes me sound pretty petty and ignorant.

    Complete antithesis of an INFJ

Ouch, I worked for a woman who fit the classic ESTJ description. All I can say is that I really feel for you...hang in there... *hugs* I worked for one for over 2 years, and she was so awful that she was eventually fired.

    Do INFJs like cats?

I prefer cats, but I also love dogs too :)

    Gay Marriage: Yes or No

I voted "I'm not sure" because I do think that a church should have a right to deny marrying same-sex couples. I do not believe in the eyes of God, this type of marriage is valid. However, I do think that a same-sex union should be recognized by the state, and same-sex couples should at least...

Long-term memories and vivid fear memories in INFJs?

Wow, I think you are onto something really interesting :). My short-term memory is abominable. My long-term memory is pretty accurate, and I do have vivid memories, especially in fearful situations as a child. I remember a distinct one where I was on a plane and it was very turbulent (I was...

    Gender Ratio in INFJ's

Oops, I forgot to read the "INFJs only" qualifier before voting, but please forgive me (I am close enough...and I am female) :m054: This is an interesting point...my mother is also a strong "T" type - she is very understanding, but quick to pull me up by my bootstraps. So when I take the...

INFJs and stressing over little things

I find driving extremely stressful. Last weekend, my boyfriend and I met in a small city I was not familiar with (we are in a LDR). Since he had to drive slightly further to meet, I agreed to do the driving while we were in town. They were doing a lot of construction, and getting on and off the...

"I hate people." Why people say it/you say it?

Usually when I say it, it has to do with hating people as a mass. I can tolerate most people at the individual level, but in crowds, it is just too much...too much traffic, too much herd mentality, too much mess. :m125:

    INFJ vs ISFJ

In that article that Shai Gar posted, I feel I could relate more to the ISFJ than the INFJ....even though my N score far outweighs my S score. I do feel the article made INFJs out to be flaky, but the reality is that I have yet to meet a flaky INFJ. Most of the INFJ's I know are always on time...

    INFJs and Violence

I feel things very intensely, and I have a hard time controlling angry thoughts. This was a real problem when I was younger and my parents were going through a divorce. I remember I would get so angry at other kids and pick fights. I have always had a lot of self-hatred, and a lot of my violent...
