I've known that I'm an INFJ for about 3 years. I'm fascinated with the book, Please Understand Me II. I love profiling peoples' personalities. I'm extreme in the 'F' department, scoring the maximum amount on the Myers-Briggs. This translates to me being extremely emotional and hard to understand by others.....and hard for me to understand others that aren't "full of emotion."

I'm a bit lonely right now. I'm in a relationship with a male who is an oscillating ENTP-INFP. I find myself with hardly any other friends nearby where I live. Now that I understand a bit more about my INFJ-self, I realize that I've always only had 1 or 2 good friends at a time but was able to get along with many personalities. I enjoy one-on-one or small group conversation the most.

I relate to buddhist concepts.

This Love is beyond the study of theology, that old trickery and hypocrisy. If you want to improve your mind that way, sleep on. ...I've given up on my brain. I've torn the cloth to shreds and thrown it away. If you're not completely naked, wrap your beautiful robe of words around you, and sleep." -- RumiLove is the capacity to take care, to protect, to nourish. If you are not capable of generating that kind of energy toward yourself- if you are not capable of taking care of yourself, of nourishing yourself, of protecting yourself- it is very difficult to take care of another person. In the Buddhist teaching, it's clear that to love oneself is the foundation of the love of other people. Love is a practice. Love is truly a practice. [Shambhala Sun March 2006 ]
