Doris

My real name is Anna, not Doris. My friends and family have always called me Doris because I'm blonde and on occasion have been known to do really stupid things...!

I have a boxer dog called Rosie who is the most awesome little thing on the planet. She's almost 5 years old and is totally nuts, drools on everything and eats things she shouldn't. I have an older brother who lives with his girlfriend and I live in the family home alone because my parents live where they work in the town 10 mins down the road.

I have just returned from the congo basin where I was researching western lowland gorilla behaviour for the WWF and the Max Plank Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology. I traveled to Cameroon in November 2009 to work with chimps and other primates. I've now decided that terrestrial work is not so much for me and I'm looking to change over to Marine biology. I just graduated with an FdSc in Animal Behaviour & Welfare and I'm hoping to top this up to BSc and eventually an MSc or MA.

Fields of study as above. I have a particular interest in abnormal captive animal behaviours (particularly in primates) as well as canine genetic disorders. I'm a closet nerd and love to read about anything animals, behaviour or general science based nerdy stuff.

I love music! From classical to glitch hop gnarly lazer bass with everything in between. I play the piano and I also have decks. My boyfriend is a DJ and producer and I LOVE the stuff he makes and plays. I also love art and used to paint with oils although I don't do this so much any more.

I like most sports and thanks to growing up with an older brother I'm into man stuff like cars and bikes etc. Every so often I have a mad purge in the gym until old injuries resurface and then I'll sit on my arse and watch it grow for a little while until I feel better!
