I just graduated from College with a Child and Youth Worker Diploma. I'm now going to University to study Social Sciences.
Most people see me as being quiet and shy, but I can be assertive and outgoing when I need to be, particularly in my work. However outside of work I prefer to do my own things, and would rather stay at home reading than go out to a wild party. =) I guess I can be somewhat of a nerd in that regard. I do love my friends and family though, and do try to make an effort to visit with friends. Even though I love being on my own I get homesick easily.
I'm a huge daydreamer, and I'm often in my own world. I space out easily and often make things up in my head.

I'm very interested in psychology and people, which is why I eventually want to achieve my masters in Social Work.
Mental Illness fascinates me so I often read about them. I'm a big advocate for mental health awareness.
I have very passionate beliefs, but I try to be open-minded to all kinds of people.
I enjoy working with people who have various problems. People interest me a great deal, and I love observing and analyzing them.
Reading is my life, I get so immersed in my books that they take up a large portion of my life.
Music is also important to me. While I have no musical talent, I am always listening to music. I get lost in the rhythm and the lyrics. Symphonic Metal/Power Metal/Goth metal are my favourites, but I also like other rock, and some softer music as well. My very favourite band of all is Nightwish. I also love Epica, Within Temptation, Evanescence, Tristania, After Forever, Lacuna Coil, Delain, The Birthday Massacre, Apocalyptica, Sonata Arctica, Blind Guardian, Kamelot, Tori Amos, Raphsody of Fire, The Gathering, Flyleaf, Staind, Leaves' Eyes, Theatre of Tragedy, Sirenia. There are other random things as well. ;)
I'm a huge movie fan as well, although I don't think I'll give the list of my movies as it will be huger than my music list...the same with my favourite books. :D
I adore animals, my friends make fun of me for it. I also love children.
I've done a lot of work with special needs people, which I find so rewarding.
I write poetry, although I havent written anything in a while. I tend to make things up in my mind but not write them down, so I need to stop that terrible habit.
I read song lyrics a lot.
Word games are fun. I enjoy looking words up in the dictionary. I also love board games and card games.
I love to learn.
