Paranormal Activity.

I found a ghost in the kitchen

A ghost? More like A GOD-DAMNED WEIRDO!

Everyone is avoiding him and you’re all like HEY DUDE YOU KNOW YOU’RE CREEPING EVERYONE THE FUCK OUT!

Also I spit some of my Pepsi out while reading your post.

I thought it was funny...especially with the stripes. ;)

IKR

I was like: ghosts wear white sheets, not black striped comforters. Dis ghost has problems
All ghosts are doing it!
He just doesn’t want to get mixed up with a torch carrying douche from N. Carolina.

I had some flight issues on my way to Boston this week so I booked a night at The Admiral Fell Inn in Baltimore where I was stuck for the night. I mentioned their ghost tour sign to the nice gentleman who checked me in and he said the hotel was haunted, however he has never seen any spirits, yet... He also mentioned that they were a famous ghost hotel so extra points for that.

Fwiw, the only thing I thought was a bit strange was when I went downstairs to pick up my food delivery, the elevator door opened for me without pushing the up button. Ooooo!!!

I know...my grocery store is totally haunted too...those doors....:frowning:

Over a decade ago I was an evening desk clerk in a nursing home. So I had to pick up the lobby and then do a walkthrough in the chapel (to make sure I didn't lock any residents or visitors in when I locked the doors.)

One night, I went through my routine and then after locking the chapel, as I was walking away, I heard the door handle jiggling. I was thinking, "Shit! I just walked through here! Omg I hope I didn't accidentally miss a resident sitting in a pew or something and lock them in!" So I rushed back across the hall and as I'm doing this I see the door handle going up and down a few times. It stops before I get there. It was this type of handle:

I unlocked the door and flipped on the lights and no one was there. I called a coworker nearby to help me check. He helped me look and there wasn't anyone there. There wasn't another exit in the chapel. It was inside the NH on the other side of the lobby and by the enterance.

Another time I was woken up because it felt like someone was caressing my shoulder down to my side, very softly and slowly. It made the hair on my arm feel like it was standing up. l was sleeping on my side so I looked over my shoulder and saw a human figure kind of bathed in greenish silvery light (not very bright though. Like moonlight). No features or details just shape and light. Instantly I panicked and then immediately had the thought, "Don't be afraid. Not to harm." Then whatever I saw receeded until it was just gone. Maybe it was all my mind playing tricks on me. But I totally expected there to be an angry NH resident behind the door in the first story.

In the early 1970s I was working as a scientist on a sub-Antarctic island in the South Atlantic. There were 22 of us over-wintering, and we were on our own from end-April till end-October. Our base was in a small bay about a mile across that opened out into a much larger bay and we were surrounded by mountains, snow and glaziers that went up directly from the sea. On the other side of the inner bay was a derelict whaling station that had been closed down over 10 years earlier and was falling into ruin. One night in mid-winter it was my turn to do the midnight weather observation. Our weather station was about a quarter of a mile away along a track, so I set off down there in the pitch darkness. I did all the indoor instrument readings then went outside to do the thermometers in the Stevenson Screen on the beach. It didn’t register that anything was wrong at first because I was concentrating on the readings, but I suddenly noticed out of the corner of my eye that there was an electric light on in one of the old whaling station buildings across the bay. Now I’m the only person awake for a thousand miles, and anyway there is no power over there, and it couldn’t be happening - for a few seconds I couldn’t believe my eyes. Then reaction - in such an isolated spot it was the eeriest feeling I’ve experienced by a long way. I was badly spooked and the rest of that weather observation and my retreat back up the track was the fastest I’d ever done.

There's a sequel to this - the next day some of us went down to the same place at dusk, and the light was on again in the old whaling station, so we walked round the bay to see what was going on. It turned out that one of the buildings over there had a polished metal front which by some miracle hadn't corroded. Now a few days earlier the lights that ran down our track had failed. One of our electrical guys had found an old mercury vapour floodlight and set it up near where we lived - it was pretty useless because it was fairly directional and either shined in your eyes or lit up anywhere but where you wanted to go. From this building over at the whaling station it was about a mile and a half away, but pointing in just the right direction to reflect off the shiny surface and make it look like a light was on from back over our side. It didn't light up anything else there brightly enough to make it obvious what was happening from a distance. I wonder how many other ghostly stories come from similar odd but quite worldly circumstances. Afterwards, I thought a lot about my reaction that night - in that kind of lonely spot I was just as spooked by the possibility of unknown people on the island as ghostly visitors. I wonder if the sort of feeling you get is an evolutionary advantage thing - something unknown, no rational explanation, very possibly dangerous, don't think - get the hell out and analyse later in safety.

So the situation wasn't all that different from this post by @Happy Phantom - it was where and when it happened that raised the hackles.

I also saw this spooky image in a pic I took outside of my room.

I had a conversation last night with a friend who is a nurse and her ghost stories were vague to me. Flickering lights, laughter, etc. I told her that your mind can easily play tricks on you.

So, tell me your ghost stories. :p
Being a nurse myself, trust me when I say, no nurse has the time, energy, or patience for "trick-playing minds" while at work! So much so that when i'm at work and encounter unexplained incidences I literally squint at the air and say out loud, "Not today, Satan" and nobody questions my sanity.

I’ll leave it there for right now.
I could continue to go on for several more stories but I will spare everyone until later, lol.
All that shit going on as I grew up and into adulthood...certainly made me less skeptical of such things existing...and helped create the non-traditional “beliefs” I carry now.
Just weird stuff.
The only thing I can manage to muster after reading your stories is wah wah wee wah

Well, this is utterly terrifying

WTF?
Explain yourself please...I don’t get what you mean at all.
I'm sorry I should have elaborated in the original post! I was not mocking you by any means! What I meant is that your experiences sound too scary and extreme to even really process, like I was too overwhelmed just by reading them to give an accurate portrayal of my thoughts and feeling.

I really was not trying to be offensive in any way, i actually found your posts very interesting

Sorry...that was my first impression and then I reread what you wrote I changed how I responded...ugh...stupid introverted social skills hahaha.
Then I just didn’t know what to think...so then I just usually ask at that point. ;)
Thanks!
