I have just noticed upon further reading and reflection on the dichotomy that they are seemingly quite contradictory and as well seem to exist with generally no real rhythm or specific reason. They are just randomly given terms that are vaguely associated with each other at best I find.
I know it somewhat has to do with history, but what about the history of them coming in to being? isn't that itself kind of ridiculous? so it's based on a history of what has happened in the past and nothing else?
And likewise I have noticed that supposedly you are not supposed to generally question either one too much.
Is it possible not to adhere or accept either one of them? they both seem kind of contrived and lie nonesense to me at this point.
Another thing too, if what goes for the left and the right as far as the current electoral system is concerned, how does out shoots of the left and right have anything to do with them? especially leftist philosophies that are sort of in apposition to capitalism, I do not understand then how so many leftists associated with the left in the electoral system, which to me in all honestly, both equally seem kind of evil and horrendous.

And honestly they are both not that far removed from being the same thing. I hate these people in charge. I think they are scumbags. I don't think capitalism is human nature at all. Maybe in some instances, but not in the way it's prescribed or in such an extreme manner as is presented. This is an insane world.

The thing is----I was reading more about the proposed history of "liberalism" and it's not real liberalism I think, it's not altogether something you can outright vote for, unless you actually really lived in a people's republic of sorts. The very notion and meaning of liberalism (originally) is against the establishment, so it doesn't make any sense.

But the liberalism that one can vote for is still largely supportive of capitalism. Wtf?

It's pretty much just a veneer and facade. It has nothing to do with "progress" I do not think, so I do not understand what those on the left think of themselves as doing when they even bother promoting voting itself at all. I don't even think that voting hardly matters at this point. Either way, but choices are just awful.

"Leaders in the Glorious Revolution of 1688,[12] the American Revolution of 1776, and the French Revolution of 1789 used liberal philosophy to justify the armed overthrow of royal tyranny. Liberalism started to spread rapidly especially after the French Revolution. The nineteenth century saw liberal governments established in nations across Europe, South America; it was well-established alongside republicanism in the United States.[13] Before 1920 the main ideological opponent of classical liberalism was conservatism, but liberalism then faced major ideological challenges from new opponents, fascism and communism."

That's why it's a voting option I think, to make the public who feel that way think that they have more choice then they actually do, when really it's nonesense. Really, it's based on the American and French revolution? well which part or aspect of them? Many of the French did succeed in getting what they wanted, if one were to look at Quebec, that's what it is. They went to Canada and lived there before anyone else did. Those were some of my ancestors...

Quebec is kinda socialist, it's not outright against capitalism though and is not for the huge state dictating everything, which is way they've always sort of unofficially not been a part of Canada's centralized government, but more so in spirit then anything (again, paper means nothing) so in that sense to me, it's my favorite part on the entire continent and makes being Canadian for me all the worthwhile I guess. If people want to see an example of real socialism in action, then they should visit Quebec. It's kinda a secret though. :tongueclosed:

They get away with it because they are right next to America, and on the Canadian side of the border, so it works out perfectly for their plan. LOL.

I think that's wrong with Americans. Sure, they want their independence, and have always fought for that to an extent, but mostly in relation to capitalism, which doesn't always work ( I mean geesh, seriously) I guess as far as the free world goes, someone has to represent that perhaps.

I almost think though:

The far left and right both symbolize either Nazi Germany or the USSR are and the idea is to try and avoid them? lol. (at least, if you were to go by the electoral voting system as it stands now) which is kind of clever. That's what you get when you put all your faith in your leaders, Nazi germany or Soviet Union Russia.

Here in the U.S., we absolutely love binary opposites because it makes for good entertainment. The media and reality shows are great examples: CNN used to be moderate, at least to a greater degree than other cable news outlets. Well, well-balanced, moderate news can't compete with bombastic Fox or leftist MSNBC.

So, now everything (almost!) is BREAKING NEWS -- the music is like an action film soundtrack, and most conservatives are treated with scorn simply based on their political affiliation. I believe their ideas matter, but again, in this environment, being direct and honest could step on toes, thus fewer votes. Politicians should be fiercely representing the needs and desires of their constituents, not pandering, and certainly not talking in circles as though they didn't understand a simple question. I usually don't listen to their boilerplate statements.

In summary, the left and right in the United States overlap frequently. Otherwise, they both stick close to the center.

The divide is exaggerated for sensationalism.

You have one side that works and the other side that wants what that side has without working for it. Really that's what it comes down to in a nut shell. The politicians push one side or the other in accordance to whatever will give them the most power and money. Few politicians actually care about the policies they support. All the while the media pushing their base to do their bidding. Whether that be murder or anything else.

I must say you are entirely spot on for once, OP.
