Everyday I see so many things wrong, wish for so many things to be changed. Watching people as they avoid the obvious negativity and don't stand up for themselves for possibly even their own health benefit. They just go with the flow. And continue living life as they 'should/sheep.' I know there is many positives aswell, and it isn't as bad as it seems, but sometimes this mentality really doesn't help with solving the negative things that go on behind our back.

What do you think needs to be changed over a certain amount of time, or right NOW.

I'm trying to make this a serious thread mainly about big changes, but small ones are welcome to.

Man-kind needs to become extinct.

And I am being serious.

Atleast the bad 1's, that would be nice...I would also like there to be less entertainment, pointless entertainment this is. FPS games, disgusting things that can make a child sadistic, make them aggresive for no reason, it's really damaging and it's seen as normal and 'fun,' I can think of many things that are more fun than running around shooting peoples heads off and running over people in a car.

Everything is arguably pointless.

There needs to be a maximum wage.

I'd say the equivelant of

Everything is arguably pointless.

But some things just don't help. And I do agree, but...to help humanity, we can do without many things.

Humans and their superiority complex.

We need a strong man with an iron will to guide our people through these harsh times.

That would be nice...but who might that be? There is many strong men with an iron will, but their voice is not allowed to be heard, and many wouldn't listen to them anyway. We need people to stick up for themselves a bit more. I think.

Nothing 'needs' to be changed on this planet. I really can't see why so many people are 'pissed' about the ambiguous 'way things are right now', I really can't. Sure, suffering and stuff might elicit a few tears, but really, it isn't that bad. Nothing that isn't fixable, it might actually go away of its own accord.

But what I find hardest about it to understand is that environmentalists, socialists and virtually everyone who 'stand up' for the ones who 'can't stand up for themselves' seem to blame capitalism and free markets for everything that they regard as bad. Really, I need you to believe me: I CAN'T UNDERSTAND THIS. The thing is, it's very easy for the people to control the world, avoiding a situation where 'fat cats' and people 'behind the scenes' running the show is so ridiculously easy.

I want you to listen closely, because this is how you, yes, you!, can change the world: put your money where your mouth is. Habitually. Make sure that every time you put your money somewhere, it's where your mouth is, when your buying groceries/cars/whatever. Do you realize what this leads to in a free market? If the people, the consumers, are 'environmentally conscious', 'socially conscious' or what have you and put their money where their mouths are it will (obviously) lead to these 'nice' companies being successful while the 'meanies' will go bankrupt! It's really that easy!

We don't need a 50% tax pressure to have free health care (we don't even need a state), we need people to give money to organizations they deem fit to distribute free
health care! And what's more, the companies will have to compete on a free market to get your money (since they cannot 'steal' your money legally, like certain entities can), you can give your money to the people you deem most fit to utilize these monetary resources, it's all up to you!

But anyway, that wasn't what i was originally planning to say. I wanted to say that we should go into space instead!

Very nice for your first post Manatee, I fully agree, it is the peoples choice about what to do, but this is also my point about the sheep, they just follow, and take the easiest route, they don't seem to 'care' about the decisions they make, where there money goes, what they are contributing towards. People live and die in ignorance. It's irritating to say the least. Wake up, Work, Eat, Sleep. Repeat process 50,000,000 times.

How would you get this message out to people, how could you stop them from saying the whole. 'Well i'm only 1 person, someone else will do it.' Approach to life.

What do you do to 'put your money where your mouth is?' I'm intrigued.

Actually, I don't think we have changed much in several millenia. Our technology has changed, yes, and if anything this has continued to cut us off more and more from reality. It is a house of cards, and we are building it higher and higher. It will crash one of these days. Even then, I'm not convinced we will change. Each of us needs to find our way....but not many of us are willing to do that either.

I don't want humans to go completely extinct - just 85% to 90%. That's enough to give earth a long respite from our self-centered bullshit and ecological destruction.

The less people willing for a change, the harder it is, I would like to think, many people want a change, but the problem is, they take the back seat, and wait for someone else to take the first step...
