Howdy guys, new member here :poutingcat:

I'm keen to see the interesting and random things you guys are hooked on atm?

For me personally, my search history is full of INFJ youtube videos right now, as well as interpretations of 'The Little Prince' novel by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, and hidden gems of Europe (to hopefully visit one day).

    Howdy mister! :relaxed::blush:

Those are good research topics you’ve been looking into haha, found any European spots so far you would like to visit?

Currently, I’ve been researching mostly papers and studies that are mostly psychology concentrated. I was just recently looking into this case study about patients with schizophrenia and lack of mental health care provided to them due to accessibility issues, racial discrimination, prejudice, and mental health provider bias. Pretty serious stuff.

And then on the other side of the spectrum, the amazing YouTubez, I’ve been kinda obsessed with dog and cat compilations lol, and how to make a nice cinnamon roll!

I'm always circulating a little, beginning to think it's a yearly or trimesterly thing.

Function dynamics are always on, but the more you know, the less likely you are to find something new. Just like everyone eventually does, I have developed my own way of thinking about it.

    Welcome, @AussieLachlan :m057:

At the moment, I am researching a metaphysical stance in philosophy called modal realism, aka the metaphysics of possible worlds.

    It's fascinating!

    Currently researching:

    - Critical thinking.
    - Foundational psychological research into child development (Piaget's developmental stages) and language (phonology, morphology, syntax and acquisition).
    - Philosophy of the humanities & history of science. (Karl Popper, Thomas Khun, Hegel.) (Unfortunately I'm quite stuck. Maybe I should pick this up again after I finish with my psychology research.)

I feel a bit embarrassed to admit it, but I'm also obsessively researching the psychology of (un)healthy human relationships.

Concepts of evolutionary self correction, especially as they relate to our current situational dynamic with Trump in the White House, etc.

Sound assisted body balance and meditation techniques.

And fun and easy things to teach a Border Collie.

    Welcome!

Fun topic. Loved seeing your list and what others are digging into.

    Recent for me:

*astrology, totem animals, enneagram and Mayan dreamspell to see if there is anything there to further understand self and provide guidance in navigating the world.
*mbti, lately mostly from the perspective of understanding and engaging with others more effectively
*Pantheistic perspectives to get closer to my own spiritual grounding.
*AEDP (accelerated experiential dynamic psychotherapy) and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy for professional growth.
*The board game Gloomhaven, because my boyfriend and I keep dying in the stupid game.

That IS interesting!!! Coming from someone who wants to work in the medical industry, it's compelling that issues like this DON'T get enough coverage.

So far, I've found alot of places in Italy that have completely smitten me, like the picture I attached on my original post of a villa on Lake Garda. Although to be fair, ALL of Europe looks like a brilliant holiday plan.

Hey ! The Ren from youtube who brought me here in the first place :grinning: (btw I ordered in a copy of Proust's 'In search of lost time', can't wait to dig in to it)
Modal Realism looks like something I would worship to be honest... such a cool thing to imagine

This is such a good first post!

-Usually in the winters I look for recipes from history to make.. for example, I made soup that was eaten by WWI soldiers in the trenches, and another time I made pie that people used to make during the great depression. One time I even recreated the entire first class menu from the Titanic. I decided this weekend I would like to make this soup eaten by confederate soldiers in the American Civil War called "toast soup", so I've been researching that.

Oh nice! I am planning to work in the health care field as well. Originally I was a Pre-med major and wanted to be a neurologist, but decided to recently switch to Psychology and stick to neuropsychology as my career. It’s more up my alley.

What is your choice of career?

And Italy is absolutely beautiful, especially the language. And yes! Gotta visit Europe in its entirety!

Anyways welcome! You seem like a very intelligent and kind person. Hope you stick around! :)
