Hi there. I signed up a long time ago and made a thread about this, but it got no traffic and I do wonder if maybe this is a better place for me for people to type me. I don't know how to start this, so this thread will just be me asking questions that you have for me and I will answer as honestly as I possibly can.

Thank you.

Check out this one for idea and see whether it is useful

Some questions here -
Where do you come from?
What do you like to do most and you can put down why and tjhe way you like it.
Which side of the brain you use the most in your opinion
Your character? In other people's eyes?
Give me one answer of a + b.
What comes to mind when you need to collect some data?

It's really hard to type people online. What result do you typically get when testing, and what do you disagree with on the result?

Yikes. More tests.

I come from the United States. Now I'm here in Europe with my spouse.
I think, more than anything? Writing. Been doing that since eons ago. I write fiction, because that's how my brain works. I'm creative, and impractical, and annoy the sensibilities of everybody else.
Is it left? I think it's left. I'm very sensitive and.. emotional, but I do value logic, and I weigh it heavily when making decisions.
My character is.. complex. Multi faceted. I can be sweet and charming, and then I can be wry and depressive. I can be efficient and impressive, or I can make a mess out of nothing like a champ.
a + b.. you're asking the wrong girl. :]
When it comes to collecting data, I suppose I like to just.. ponder about it. I love reading materials about said thing so that I can ponder some more. In fact, that's one thing most people hate about me. Too much inside my own head.

Either INFJ or INFP. On some days when I'm feeling particularly clucky, ISFJ.
Then there's days that I'm feeling social and then I get ENFJ.

I'm doing this in parts. I'll be doing the first part today, second part tomorrow, and so on. Bold words are the answers I've chosen and/or agree with. Italics would be either I'm confused and can't choose or just for commentary's sake.

--- Which answer comes closest to describing how you usually feel or act?

#1 When you go somewhere for the day, would you rather
*J plan what you will do and when, or
*P just go

#2 Do you consider yourself to be
*P more of a spontaneous person, or
*J more of an organized person
(I don't know.)

#3 If you were a teacher, would you rather teach
*S fact courses, or
*N courses involving theory

#4 Are you usually
*E a "good mixer", or
*I rather quiet and reserved
(Highly depends on the situation. If its with strangers, I am very reserved and mostly observant. But with closed ones, I'm a little more animated.)

#5 Do you usually get along better with
*N imaginative people, or
*S realistic people

#6 Do you more often let
*F your heart rule your head
*T your head rule you heart

#7 Do you prefer to do many things
*P or the spur of the moment, or
*J according to your plans?

#8 Are you
*E easy to get to know, or
*I hard to get to know
(Again, it really depends. I'm a mystery to some people, and with the right special people.. I open up like a book.)

#9 Does following a schedule
*J appeal to you, or
*P cramp you

#10 When you have a special job to do, do you like to
*J organize it carefully before you start, or
*P find out what is necessary as you go along?

#11 In most instances, do you prefer to
*P go with the flow
*J follow a schedule
(I hate this kind of question because its just so arbitrary. I think, naturally, I do follow a schedule that I envision in my head and then do it. I don't like surprises, so I'm not like this totally spontaneous person, but at the same time, I do think of myself as lazy and spiteful over 'must-dos'.)

#12 Would most people say you are
*I a private person
*E a very open person
(*smiles*)

#13 Would you rather be considered
*S a practical person, or
*N an ingenious person?

#14 In a large group do you more often
*E introduce others, or
*I get introduced

#15 Would you rather have as a friend someone who
*N is always coming up with new ideas, or
*S has both feet on the ground
(But really, porque no los dos?)

#16 Are you inclined to
*F value sentiment more than logic, or
*T value logic more than sentiment
(This was a little hard to choose.)

#17 Do you prefer to
*P wait and see what happens and then make plans, or
*J plan things in advance
(The strange thing is that I feel like I'm both. But I plan things inside my head, as in, envision the future, and then I wait to see what pops up, and then I plan it. I'm usually the type to plan things months in advanced but only in theory.)

#18 Do you tend to spend a lot of time
*I by yourself, or
*E with others

#19 Do you find being around a lot of people
*E gives you more energy, or
*I is often "draining"?

#20 Do you prefer to
*J arrange dates, parties, etc., well in advance, or
*P be free to do whatever looks like fun when the time comes?

#21 In planning a trip would you prefer to
*P most of the time do whatever you feel like that day, or
*J know ahead of time what you'll be doing most days?

#22 At parties, do you
*I sometimes get bored, or
*E always have fun?

#23 Do you usually
*E mingle well with others, or
*I tend to keep more to yourself?

#24 Are you more attracted to
*N a person with a quick and brilliant mind, or
*S a practical person with a lot of common sense?

#25 In your daily work, do you
*P rather enjoy an emergency that makes you work against time, or
*J usually plan your work so you won't need to work under pressure?

#26 Would you say it generally takes others
*I a lot of time to get to know you, or
*E a little time to get to know you?
(I'm full of secrets. Even my parents don't know the whole story about me yet.)

Introverted feeling is not seen on the outside, so to the casual observer, it can seem as if an INFP is a cold/Ti person-dominant when really they have strong emotional responses to everything, just internally.

It's more of a vibe really ... Apologies ahead of time to any INTPs - but they give off an awkward, straightforward, sometimes overly pedantic air, while INFPs gravitate towards fairytale-like escape, and come across more softly, more emotionally intelligent despite the seemingly stoic demeanor.

The both have secondary Ne - which I recognize as quick wit, and the tendency to easily go off-topic on things/disorganized. I love Ne humour, and admire it's creativity.

I dated an ENFP before, who has the same cognitive functions as an INFP, but in a different order (dominant Ne, secondary Fi - and that Robin Williams-like charm/voice/genius stands out to me in people). It's playful, seemingly scatter-brained at first, but if you really listen, you hear a Shakespearean fool behind all the antics ... There's a serious, intelligent core that others often miss.

I hear that in you

Thank you, @IndigoViolet11 , for the link.

I can only advise you to look at the cognitive functions more closely, because INFP and INFJ have entirely different functions. The videos from the youtube channel Talking with Famous People helped me a lot. There are videos on specific types and specific functions and how they are expressed differently in each type. They talk a lot about other stuff as well, so you'd have to listen for those specific things. They have a lot you can sift through.

I understand.. however, it is also safe for me to assume that typing myself would be at best biased and at worst horrendously wrong. I'd much rather be typed through other people's eyes on my set behaviors. I do thank you for your contribution, of course.

Well, it only works so long as you lie to yourself. You'll know when you're ready as soon as you stop standing in your own way. I'd be patient and listen at first.

In addition, I know Host Eric also does live typing sometimes, i.e. if you're not averse to their kind of social media. He has more than once offered his expertise and experience.
