i honestly don't get why everyone is so scared of trump. Someone please explain.

If he looses it in the "Situation Room" I could see one of those Generals shooting him.

Looks like the shape shifting mechanism nearly seized up for a moment...

Normally I would not care much of who is elected in US while living far away. What worries me most though, is Trump's active support for Russian regime. For a candidate who has few consistent views on anything, this is the only issue that he has a lasting opinion of. Therefore it is even more alarming.

With the US backing down and EU being in internal disarray, this could lead to a new war within Europe. And it would be my house that those f*cking Russian soldiers will show up at. So I am not amused.

How many threads are needed to talk about Trump? Maybe I need to create one for Hillary called "The CU%T Clinton".

I thought the world wanted the US to back down

People are way too over-hyped about both candidates. There is a reason we have checks and balances in our political system.

At this point, it seems more and more that with every Tweet and other idiotic thing he has to say, Trump is in it to hand the election to Clinton, who he endorsed in '08, lest we forget. This is an epic publicity stunt.

International politics is a complex issue, not a one shoe fits it all strategy. I would prefer the US to stop it's futile attempts of bringing democracy by force to Iraq and Afghanistan. People there are just not ready for it. But I do support actions against Syria/ISIS and Russia, because they present a real global threat.

That's a comforting thought, but I have a feeling this election won't be so comfortable. People have been predicting and hoping that Trump will fail at every step of the way, but he's gone from strength to strength regardless of his continuing reputation to make stupid and aggressive statements.

It sounds ridiculous but if Trump knows one thing, it's how to advertise himself. This is why he's able to have gained investors despite his many failed business ventures, and now that logic is being applied to gaining electoral support. Whether they publicly admit it or not, Trump has a ton of conservative support, and support from the anti-establisment crowd. Support that liberals just can't seem to muster for Clinton.

I hope Clinton wins, the alternative is too awful to bear thinking of, but if I were a betting man my money will be on Trump right now.

No scares here :p
Personal opinion: The Donald is a self-centered, spoiled richy-rich kid narcissistic bigot out to fufill his OWN agenda. He was quoted in college to have said he would sit the presidents chair even if he had to buy it. He considers himself a schrewed business man--yet he's broke in character...and what's he his in his taxes? Even Warren Buffet dislikes his approaches.
Many citizens hollered we were headed for Socialism with Barrack...with The Donald we would be in a Dictatorial--literally!
The Donald should go home. He's done a wonderful job making US look like a raging joke in the eyes of the world. Both my GrandDads fought for freedom in WWI & WWII to keep us from men with minds like The Donald!!
You reap what's sown...elect his ass & y'all DESERVE what's to come!!!
He is only a test...we can pass that test! Don't even get me on his lying ass Putan saga...Hilliary is no saint...but she is a 4-year risk I'll take. The Donald can set US back and do much damage in four years.
Let's just hope that the system of checks & balance can out sign executive orders (??) But while he's looking for his pen will he flip the switch to start the beginning of the end of us all?? He's unstably greedy...like a kid in a fun store..."Well geeish, wonder what this trigger does, let's see....

(pardon my bad attitude but politics gets under my skin lol)

I agree though I would add a few points.
We had checks and balances...Citizen’s United and the McCutcheon decision firmly destroyed what small bit of real democracy we had left.
The people didn’t vote on the candidates...there were people from both sides of the voter scale that were discounted at the polls in the primary to decide who the nominees are (i.e. anyone registered anything other than the party they are voting for - don’t count.)...we’ve had non-stop media interference with them practically naming who the nominees were and discounting everyone else...they are still doing it...the news, used to be a little more non-biased, they do not call out either candidate for the blatant lies that both of them have told...instead, they help spread the lies - both FOX and MSNBC.
The guy with the most money shouldn’t have a vote that counts any more than anyone else’s, but now we have gobs of money with people like the Koch Bros. donating -
The Washington Post, "Koch-backed network aims to spend nearly $1 billion in run-up to 2016," Jan. 26, 2015. Politico, "The Kochs put a price on 2016: $889 million," Jan. 26, 2015. USA Today, "Koch brothers set $889 million budget for 2016,"
Donald does not have the temperament, experience, or empathy to be President (his recent remarks about the Purple Heart, and the disgusting remarks about a honorable fallen soldier...kicking out a crying baby? Really? Moronic.), Hilary (gag) at least has been vetted and knows how the system works...though I doubt she's very empathetic either.
Yea! Two sociopaths!
I agree with you @Sandie33 she isn’t a saint...it’s now a vote for a giant douche or a shit sandwich...we always seem to end up having to pick the lesser of two evils...that’s not democracy...democracy doesn’t have delegates or super-delegates...they don’t have an army of lobbyists in Congress giving them campaign contributions, vacations, and promises of jobs in their firms upon leaving Congress.
We wouldn’t have a Congress that purposefully obstructs anything other than military and mining contracts (they certainly shouldn’t read “Green Eggs and Ham” and shut down part of the government costing us millions of wasted tax dollars) - excuse me, but could Congress at least side with the people they represent 50% of the time? Is that asking too much?
If we were truly the “land of the free”, we wouldn’t have more people in prison in the US than any other country in the world (let that sink in), more than China, more than Russia.
Most of those prisons are privately run as well - with lobbyists of their own pushing for more and more laws that can be broken and longer sentences for those convicted...in fact many of them have contracts with the states they are in that if they don’t have a census above a certain level the state still has to pay a fee for the empty beds - incentivizing them to imprison people.
We are practically back to being serfs.
We should let the people vote, and then count said votes...the one with the most wins.
That’s Democracy.

Trump or Hillary America loses either way. The positive from Trump is a different business oriented perspective. Try as you like about all the bankruptcies hes part of, hes still pulled off making a ton of money. Read about the life of Hershey. Someone who failed over and over but never gave up and eventually found something that worked. Failure like this is a part of what makes America great. There are a lot of things to dislike about Trump but the alternative is Clinton. Someone who would sell her children and children's children to a slavery ring if she thought she could get away with it and there was a payoff for it. Shes proven national security means nothing to her and human lives mean nothing to her. I do not know how Trumps children were raised but they clearly love an respect him.

Holy crap its @88chaz88 !
I haven't seen you post in forever. Welcome back, even if it's for a limited time only.

Anyway, the more wrong and crazy Trump is, the more support he garners. Its like we are now living in some bizarro universe where decency and logic do not matter. I'm hoping that were he to win, he would concede and be like, "J/K everyone!!! Be sure to check out my new reality show, Celebrity Presidential Candidate next fall!" Best case scenario, Trump is trolling everyone.

Though I suspect Hillary will crush him. You don't see Democrats flocking to Trump like you see Republicans backing Hillary.
