Bear with me, because it's entirely possible that in a couple hours I will think/realize that I'm a complete idiot and this is all horseshit. For now, let's entertain a possibility with a weak premise.

When I get really stressed out or burn out, my Ti drops out and I become a fucking wreck. I'm excessively paranoid, feel like I'm under attack, super sensitive, etc. I withdraw a lot more than usual. Grip.

However, when I have a huge crush on someone (hypothetical atm), I stop rationalizing everything. I explode with connection-inducing emotion. I start holding onto fond memories. It also seems like a grip. Just a positive grip.

Has anyone experienced that eustress can bring about a positive grip experience? Or is this merely the result of excessive dopamine, serotonin, oxytocin, vasopressin, etc. release?

Another interesting question (which may or may not be related): do romantic relationships affect types' priorities via function stack uniquely?

Sure, beautiful women illicit lust in heterosexual men.

Simply, that's what love & lust are.

Well, I've seen beautiful ladies. With that said, my priorities don't change upon seeing them; I understand that their physical beauty will fade with age. On the other hand, my money will compound with time.

I think this is just part of being human, much like fainting.

In rehab, my sister met a heroin user who described the feeling he experienced as "like the best Christmas ever, jumping on mom and dad's bed at 5 AM to show what Santa brought [...]," so, I'm reminded of how crying releases endorphins, so it is an act of self-soothing. I always feel better after crying.

We die without human contact.

/Oh, good!
