You are a Sable!
Average to large size Protective Eloquent Charming Snooty Judgemental
695px-Sable_bull.jpg

Think of Coach Pat Riley when you think of the sable. Cool and confident - if not a little over-polished - sables are the most graceful of the herbivorous personalities. With their outstanding physical presence and successful work ethic, they enjoy the universal admiration from colleagues and friends. Dapper in dress and noble in bearing, their tastes and lifestyle are refined and restrained and they disapprove of flashy or ostentatious behavior in any form.

Attractive to the opposite sex and popular with their own, sables create a sense of well-being in those who surround them. There is a downside to this adulation however, for the sable sometimes feels pressured into leadership roles that it has no desire to fill, and even though it's not known to be particularly soft-hearted it's the first person to help someone in need.

When life's obstacles are not sufficiently challenging sables set even higher personal goals and, with boundless energy, subject themselves to a vigorous regimen of biking, running, or hiking. Whether tooling around in a sports car or simply running on the beach, speed holds a special fascination, and sables love nothing more than the feel of wind in their hair.

In business, sables are admired for their excellent negotiation skills and their ability to make courageous decisions. Because of the ease of which they earn money, they tend to be profligate in their spending habits and don't hesitate to spend money on leisure activities.

Sables fiercely protect their hard earned reputation for integrity, taking pride in their ability to make business deals with just a handshake. They are cautious about giving that trust to others, however, which further aggravates their reputation for taking themselves too seriously.

Sables have a particular distaste for routine of any kind, and their work must always be demanding and fast paced. As a high-powered salesperson, stock-broker or manager they are consistently in the top echelons of their field and should avoid jobs that have little chance for advancement.

You are a Beaver!
Reliable Ethical Judgemental

640px-Castor_canadensis.jpg

Beavers are the workaholics of the animal world. No animal personality places more emphasis, nor derives more self-esteem than beavers do from their careers. They can be found at all levels of the working world, though they perform best in unsupervised positions that require serious responsibility. This makes them ideal for roles as a ship's captain, naval officer, judge, accountant or bank manager. As a handyperson they have no equal: If asked to fix a chair, they'll build one from scratch.

Organized and structured, their determined attitudes spill over into all aspects of their busy lives and they plan for the future almost unconsciously. Decisions made regarding their relationships, careers and families are methodically and practically prepared, and they are most comfortable at work or ensconced in their fastidiously decorated homes. In their spare time, beavers love to busy themselves around the house or tend their precisely manicured lawns.

It is arguable, however, whether the beaver's complex home-building skills require intelligence or simply instinct, much as a bird builds a nest. Today it is generally believed that the beaver's intelligence is overrated: though they will purposely fell trees to build dams, they are often killed by their poor lumberjacking skills.

While others are playing, beavers are usually hard at work. They are well prepared for any eventuality and their homes are well stocked with spare water, emergency radios and survival kits. Even the beaver is not sure why it spends such energy in securing its home, but it instinctively feels more comfortable when it does.

Beaver personalities come in all shapes and sizes. Generally in good physical condition, they find time to keep fit even with their busy work schedules. Their conscientious attitudes makes them dependable as friends and a commitment from a beaver is like money in the bank.

You are a Bat!

Artistic
Reflective
Unpredictable

This is a decidedly nonconformist creature, for as an airborne personality, the bat tends to look down at the conventions of the ground animals. And yet, since it is not a true bird and has not mastered the art of smooth controlled flight, it often appears awkward in social situations (hence the phrase "acting batty"). But as compensation for this social ungainliness, many bat personalities sport a built-in radar which enables them to intuitively read the motivations of others.

Identifying bat personalities is not difficult. Being nocturnal creatures, they come alive at night and can be spotted in underground clubs or dimly lit bars. They prefer the sanctuary of dark clothing and dark corners, and you'll never see a bat sporting a heavy tan. These are intelligent, spiritual, creative individuals who use their full range of senses (other than their poor eyesight) to carefully navigate their way through life.

Bats have a habit of flitting in and out of social situations, swooping down to interact briefly with others before quickly flying off to resume their bat lives. Unassertive and aloof, they'll take flight at the first hint of a confrontation to seek comfort in their personal spaces, generally decorated in unusual but expressive ways.

A sixth sense gives bats a number of advantages in their work, and their insightful nature enables them to understand others better than they understand themselves. This intuitiveness makes bats excellent psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers and palm readers. They respond poorly to direction however, and function best as a sole practitioners in their own business. Preferring to work at night and sleep by day, a bat's job must be flexible enough to accommodate these unusual hours. A creative streak often finds them in the design and architectural fields, and their unique relationship with dark caves makes you a natural archeologist or spelunker.

Although the bat's spiritual side is always on display, they are not overly emotional. Because of their unusual and sometimes awkward approach to life they can sometimes have difficulty finding companions. However, bats respond well to anyone who shares their philosophical perspective, and they love spending long hours in deep conversation. Once they have successfully located a partner, bats prove to be both dependable and committed companions.

Palm reader, that's an idea.

You are a Fox!
Small to medium size Autonomous Generous Creative Flirtatious Procrastinating

The fox is very much a creature of the night and is, along with its dog relatives, the most gregarious of the carnivores. Their agile minds are always active, and although they never intend to harm others foxes have developed a reputation for slyness and manipulation. The female of the species is called a vixen for good reason: With her sharp mind and equally sharp tongue, she is best left alone when angry.

Appealing, cerebral and of average size, the fox is a close relative of both the wolf and dog personalities and displays typical canine qualities of loyalty, passion and creativity. Largely misunderstood to be a shy, retreating individual, it's the fox's unique stature as a small carnivore that defines its survival strategy. Because it cannot succeed in the world using brute force alone, it must rely on its sharp mind and engaging personality to garner resources. Consequently it spends a lot of time in its head, giving the impression that it's trying to outsmart its friends. The fox is often surprised to learn that its intellectual pursuits are intimidating.

Foxes are fussy eaters and feed on a wide range of foods. With an appreciation for the finer things in life, they demand quality in entertainment, food, and friends. A love for exploration is mixed with enjoyment in overcoming challenges, and foxes are often out climbing mountains or journeying to exotic, forbidden places.

Flamboyance is usually not the fox's style, preferring to remain inconspicuous in choose subtlety and cunning over brute strength. They live in small, cozy environments and their houses are usually organized and neat. As a hunter personality, foxes are in good physical shape and enjoy sports that challenge their mind and body.

Foxes are typically successful in the workplace, but their competitiveness and ambition sometimes make coworkers feel belittled. They would never deliberately take advantage of others, but their single-mindedness often blinds them to their feelings. So they thrive in their own businesses and like to surround themselves with family and friends in these ventures. Although they demand consensus in all decisions, they dominate discussions and steer the plans to reflect their own agenda. Competent in a wide range of fields, foxes are particularly well suited for a career as computer programmers, lawyers, doctors or professional chess players.

"Of all God's creatures, there is only one that cannot be made slave of the lash. That one is the cat. If man could be crossed with the cat it would improve the man, but it would deteriorate the cat." ~Mark Twain

Wildcat personalities do not differ substantially from their domestic cousins and exhibit the aloof behavior that is common to all felines. With their well-deserved reputations as creatures of comfort, wildcats jealously guard their independence while indulging in the finer things in life. Attractive, solitary, creative and curious, these individuals are quite happy to observe the world from a distance.
The wildcat would never take a conventional route and prefers to explore life from off the beaten track, relying heavily on its instincts and powers of observation to guide it safely through the jungle. Its air of indifference and need for privacy keeps it on the outskirts of society, but its love for comfort always brings it back.
Exceptional personal hygiene is a hallmark of the wildcat personality, and from their hair to their fingernails they are immaculately groomed. Shopping for clothing or personal-care items spices up long, dreary days.
When someone wrongs a wildcat, they make it their business to even the score. Displaying superb patience, wildcats will even wait years for the right moment. When the occasion comes to strike, they gather all their force and attack. In the face of a ferocious display of hissing and blustering, their surprised victim has little chance of escape.
The wildcat differs from its lion relatives in its approach to its social structure. With an aversion to the complex family organization of the lion, the wildcat finds freedom and self-indulgence to be far more compelling. As a natural explorer it disdains staying in one place for long, preferring the freedom of solitary roaming in exotic locales. This wanderlust makes it ideal for a career as a travel agent, explorer, mountain climber, researcher or writer.
Although wildcats are uncomfortable performing in front of large groups, their grace and lithe bodies make them natural dancers or gymnasts.

[h=1]You are a Mole![/h]

  • Observant
  • Introspective
  • Pessimistic

640px-Close-up_of_mole.jpg

It's easy to recognize a mole personality. They have pasty complexions and
are usually seen in late night coffee shops, jazz bars or underground clubs. To
avoid drawing attention to themselves, they favor dark clothing and sunglasses
and are the first people to volunteer for the graveyard shift.

Physically, moles are not awe-inspiring individuals. Their pale skin and
plump physique are usually accompanied by thick glasses or contacts that
compensate for poor eyesight. However, they are comfortable with their flaccid
bodies and seek companionship with others who appreciate their more
philosophical qualities. Shunning contemporary fashions, moles prefer dark
clothes and retro-styles.

There's something compelling about the mole personality, and in the early
sixties it was quite fashionable to be a mole in the form of a creative and
philosophical beatnik expressing angst through music and poetry. Bob Dylan and
John Lennon carried the mole standard into the seventies, but the fashion
largely died and moles were forced back underground.

Passive and unassertive, they prefer to retreat at the first sign of
confrontation and would rather run than take physical action. If they were to be
found on a rare trip to Disneyworld, angry tan lines would be a dead giveaway to
their mole personality.

Moles are restless and, although constantly engaged in activity, they never
seem to get anything done. Careers are taken seriously, though. So seriously, in
fact, that with their little heads down and their backs fully into the job moles
may not notice the world going by. But even moles have dreams, and long for a
time when they can put down the shovel and take a well-deserved hammock break on
a quiet shady beach.

Moles have extremely sharp minds and are excellent problem solvers. As
reflected in their determined burrowing through difficult terrain, moles prefer
solutions with straight lines rather than having to go around problems. When
confronted with difficult issues they never give up; hacking away with dogged
determination until the answer is found. This attribute makes them perfect for
jobs in engineering, accounting or diagnostic work. With their unique
underground perspective on life, moles have enormous potential as songwriters,
poets, or left-wing journalists, and some of the world's finest philosophical
writing has emanated from moles.

You are an Otter!

Otters are petite, engaging creatures overflowing with positive energy. Intelligent and bright, they are also popular, eminently lovable and display the highly developed social skills that typify the small carnivores. Otters mix easily with a wide range of animal personalities.

Lazy? Let's just say easily distracted. Life has so many diversions for the otter that it's impossible to predict how it will fill its day. But when an otter gets focused on a problem, its keen intelligence rises to the challenge and it will not give up until the nut is cracked.

Otters feel entitled to the good things in life and a general sense of well being gives them the confidence to not have to save for the future. A lover who wants to impress an otter should know that otters love to eat out and have a predictable penchant for sushi.

Although intelligent and witty, otters have a tendency to suffer from self-doubt and fear of failure can prevent them from living up to their true potential. Still, they are a great problem solvers, with the ability to spend endless hours on abstract or practical challenges. As workers, they are dedicated and capable and always eager for a chance to prove themselves.

Their determination makes otters valuable employees, and although they often feel that their contributions are undervalued they would rather accept lower pay than risk confrontations in their workplace.

Although they are fine motivators otters avoid taking leadership roles, performing better in group situations with their social skills coming in handy when counseling coworkers through their problems. Their dexterous hands are useful in a wide range of careers, and they're ideally suited for work in engineering, advertising, and design.

Now you see it, now you don't. Aggressive yet gentle, outgoing but shy, stable yet flighty - everyone sees the penguin in a different way. It's that black and white thing: the penguin only reveals the side that it wants to you to see. So whether you like this darling-devil or not, you have to concede that it's a fascinating and enigmatic individual.

Penguins are birds condemned to live out their days on the ground. Unable to fly, their excess energy has no outlet save their creative talents and emotional outbursts. Penguins are poetic, artistic, and intellectually gifted, and as writers penguins have no equal.

But, if unable to channel their impulses in a positive way, the resulting turmoil proves damaging to their relationships and careers.

Penguins are deceptively intelligent and are particularly animated when intellectually challenged. They excel at word games and puzzles but are modest about their abilities and are generally underestimated by others.

With their misunderstood personality, penguins find writing an ideal tool for expressing their true feelings. They have a natural aptitude for languages and penguin personalities dominate the world of publishing as writers, editors, and journalists.

A strong sense of drama draws them to the theater and cinema, although unlike typical bird personalities they avoid the spotlight unless they're able to hide behind the characters they play. However, a lack of confidence affects their work. Penguins tend to give up on tasks they were otherwise capable of and are often disappointed with their performance. Still, work never dominates their life and they always put their family first.

The Owl Personality is Sober
The owl is the tranquil face of the bird personalities. A creature of great integrity, its quiet demeanor accords it an air of mystery and diffidence, and it is widely recognized as a serene, wise observer of human society. Always well-groomed, it is a noble individual with elegantly chiseled features that border on the fine edge of beauty and homeliness. Its large eyes are often framed by handsome eyeglasses.

Owls have developed quite a reputation for intelligence, but it's really their calm, insightful natures that give this impression. Instead of an intellectual approach to life, they employ their deeper spiritual senses to guide them and -- like their nocturnal cohorts the bats -- have a deeply philosophical bent.

Spending much of their time in solitary pursuits, owls like to hole up in quiet working environments and venture out only when necessary. They are not playful creatures. Only engaging in exercise and activities in order to keep physically fit, they avoid more gregarious animal personalities like dogs, dolphins, and sea lions.

Owls are not without their assertive side, however, and won't hesitate to use their razor-sharp tongues to settle arguments. Rarely the aggressor in a confrontation, owls only fight when their survival or honor is at stake, and show no desire for a prolonged or physical struggle. Owls espouse nonviolence, think logically, and argue persuasively.

The Owl’s Career
As an astute observer of human nature, owls are eminently suited to be judges or diplomats. Their trustworthiness and dependability makes them perfect for positions of responsibility... perhaps as bank managers, heads of state, or religious leaders. A conscientious worker, an owl takes its responsibilities seriously and, when it accepts the burden of public office, it does so with the grace and skill typical of its species.

With an enormous capacity for hard work, owls achieve great things in almost any field they choose. This success doesn't always translate into financial rewards, when they are drawn to jobs in the teaching profession, which invariably satisfies their need to impart wisdom to others.

Owls in the Wild
In the wild, owls often live in churches and empty houses and are prone to swooping out of the dark with a ghostly appearance. Their eerie hoots create a mournful backdrop to their spooky behavior, and these sounds are probably responsible for the origin of a number of ghost stories.

Although owls can sometimes be seen by day, they function best at twilight and patrol their regular routes hunting for mice and squirrels.

Owls are able to hunt in complete darkness, having evolved a system of "outer ears" hidden under their feathers, and by detecting slight differences in the timing of their prey's noises, owls are able to zero in on prey by sound alone; thanks to their asymmetrical ear flaps,

Love & Friendship
Unlike many other terrestrial creatures, the owl is not a prisoner of its sex-drive. With an air of refined sensuality, it’s hardly shy about throwing itself into the physical aspects of a relationship, and when it focuses its sharp ardor on its lover, it ignites a quite a steamy and animated encounter.

The owl views sex as a complement to its relationships, and certainly not as the key component. It would do well to recognize the significance of physical affection outside the bedroom, for its partner is often starved for non-sexual reassurance.

The owl considers itself to be excellent company and is quite happy spending time in its own active mind, which slows its search for a long-term partner. Drawn to people who can match its sedate disposition, the owl finds the noble swan to be an ideal physical and emotional match. But achieving long-lasting relationships often proves difficult for this intensely spiritual creature. This is perhaps why the owl finds its nocturnal companions, the fox and bat, to be the best candidates to fill its complex needs.

NEVER UNDERESTIMATE A PENGUIN
Penguins are deceptively intelligent and are particularly animated when intellectually challenged. They excel at word games and puzzles but are modest about their abilities and are generally underestimated by others.

With their misunderstood personality, penguins find writing an ideal tool for expressing their true feelings. They have a natural aptitude for languages and penguin personalities dominate the world of publishing as writers, editors, and journalists.

PENGUINS IN THE WILD
Like all flightless birds, penguins reside only in the southern hemisphere, and having found a niche in the wild, frozen wasteland that is Antarctica, most penguin species move south in winter to breed in the extreme cold. Although conditions are harsh, penguins can form large breeding groups with minimal fear of predators, and they are supremely well adapted for this environment.

Surviving the Antarctic winter takes a great deal of cooperation from the penguins and they huddle together to conserve heat. As the penguins on the outside of the group begin to get cold, they are allowed by the others to move into the interior of the group to regain body heat.

LOVE & FRIENDSHIP
Since penguins have the coldest feet in the animal kingdom, it's no surprise that within its conflicted bosom there beats the warmest heart of all. Unfortunately, most of us will never experience this gentle compassion for the penguin rations it only to family and close friends.

Penguins mate for life and they make their commitments in black and white. Boredom is never an issue and it would never occur to them to look outside their marriage for stimulation. However, the flighty core of its bird personality struggles to maintain an even keel, challenging its partner's patience and endurance.

It takes a special person to flesh out the penguin's wonderful qualities and mammalian personalities like horses, moles and dogs simply do not have the tools to decipher its avian sensibilities. Neither is the penguin fully accepted by eagles, owls and roosters who look down their noses at their land-bound cousin.

True acceptance comes in the form of semi-aquatic mammals, and relationships with otters, walruses, and beavers are complete in many ways.

Rooster Characteristics: Original • Fashionable • Perfectionist
Scientific Name: Gallus gallus
Collective Term: A brood of roosters

The Can’t-Ignore-it Rooster
Roosters are those talented, creative, but somewhat eccentric people who make life interesting for the rest of us. Their bird-like minds are always on the lookout for stimulation and roosters display the characteristically high-energy behavior of their species. They are artistic, creative and sophisticated, with a thorough knowledge of fine wines, cooking, writing, theater and painting.

Roosters exhibit a decided theatrical streak as they strut their stuff in the latest fashions. Craving attention, their show-off attitude sometimes generates criticism from those close to them and their need to be the center of attention permeates every aspect of their busy life. When it comes to clothes, furniture and cars they only purchase the highest quality items and their excessive spending can land them in financial disarray. (Lmao at all of this)

The Rooster is One Blunt Bird
The rooster's active mind is always working on a way to create more drama in its life. Offsetting a feisty and competitive nature is a secretive and aloof side that manifests itself when it feels insecure. And yet, a rooster is a solid friend. Their blunt approach -- while sometimes hurtful and tactless -- can always be counted on to be honest and frank.

Roosters are in big demand at parties. With a witty repartee and an ability to easily mix, they flirt shamelessly while reveling in the glow of the spot-light. Concerned about how they are perceived by others, they are only happy if people are talking to or about them.

The Rooster Personality's Career Approach
Subscribing to the early bird maxim, roosters rise a little earlier than their competition and could even be accused of having their fingers in too many pies. The world is so fascinating to the rooster that settling down into any one career would be impossibly constricting. Unfortunately, their earning potential suffers in a competitive world that rewards specialization, but roosters succeed when they choose careers that present a variety of challenges, such as medicine, publishing, journalism or acting.

As a salesperson, a rooster is without equal and can sell anything from real estate to used cars. A hard worker with a keen eye for detail, its creativity and dedication make it a wonderful employee, but as a manager or business owner, the finicky rooster tends to alienate subordinates with its unrelenting enthusiasm. It is also not a particularly strong team player, and its perceived self-absorbed and sanctimonious attitude breeds resentment.

Roosters in the Wild
Although it is uncertain when the domestication of this jungle fowl took place, it is generally thought to have happened around 2500 B.C. in Asia. In the 1920s, observation of roosters and chickens led to the discovery of the pecking order, in which the most dominant bird will peck any other bird without being pecked back. The second most dominant bird also pecks others without reprisal, except for the most dominant. This hierarchy continues until the least dominant bird is pecked by all.

Although this kind of social structure exists in most mammalian societies, including our own, it is still referred to as the pecking order because of its initial discovery in chickens.

Careers & Hobbies

Love & Friendship
There's a touch of glamour in everything the rooster does -- for settling for less would be exasperating to the rooster's essence. Why take the train if you can fly? This philosophy pervades its personal life, for the rooster proves to be a perfectionist in the bedroom too. Of course, roosters are not above crowing if they feel that their efforts have gone unnoticed. But in the long run, partners have few complaints holding their rooster lover in the highest regard as paramour.

It would be tempting to describe the rooster's mate as being henpecked. Instead, a subtle and complex give-and-take defines this relationship. What the rooster demands with its attention-seeking behavior, it gives back by being an enthusiastic and supportive mate.

Roosters do not attract the shy retiring type and a relationship with this confident bird requires a thick skin and a love of the spotlight. Other bird personalities --particularly peacocks, eagles, and swans instantly bond with its brash personality, while spiritually minded elephants, bats, and owls find it to be irreverent and impertinent.

I took the test when it was published as a book; my result was wild dog.

WILD DOG CHARACTERISTICS: Reliable • Charitable • Interesting • Loyal • Restless
SCIENTIFIC NAME: Canis canidae
COLLECTIVE TERM: A tribe of wild dogs

THE RUGGEDLY RESTLESS WILD DOG
Most people who meet a wild dog are struck by its energetic, demonstrative and restless behavior. This mid-sized individual differs from its domestic dog and wolf cousins in a number of notable ways: it is physically more powerful than the dog and its social structure differs dramatically from that of the lone wolf. It is difficult to describe the wild dog's personality without explaining it in terms of its pack of friends, for wild dogs don't see themselves as rugged individualists but rather as members of a social team that demands constant bonding and cooperation.

YOU CAN COUNT ON A WILD DOG
Reliable in a crisis, wild dogs are charitable to those in need and have a strong sense of social justice. They are dependable and generous to a fault, but there is a darker side to their character. If they believe they have been wronged, they'll carry a grudge for a long time and punish the offender by withdrawing otherwise unconditional support.

Although they are not a natural leaders, wild dogs are popular and well liked and their indomitable sense of adventure attracts others who appreciate living on the edge. They were not blessed with a particularly handsome face, but their trim body is well conditioned by athletic endeavors and they take pride in their appearance.

TRAVEL IS KEY FOR THE WILD DOG
As is typical of a carnivorous personality, wild dogs love to travel and choose to vacation in stimulating environments where they can expand their understanding of the world. They become restless when they haven't taken a vacation in a while.

Thinking of bringing that new invention of yours to the market? Put a wild dog in charge. No one can take an idea and run with it better than this hardy individual. Its powers of endurance and canine enthusiasm make for such a powerful combination that wild dogs are consistently amongst the highest wage earners. So why don't they simply run their own businesses and reap the rewards? Well for one thing, they don't possess the leadership and entrepreneurial talents of their canine cousins. Instead, by concentrating on relationship building and teamwork, wild dogs achieve the kind of job satisfaction that no salary can replace.

WILD DOGS NEED FREEDOM
Wild dogs are highly principled individuals although they take a while before placing their trust in others. Employers should give them a lot of freedom since they do not perform well in structured environments. When it comes to stamina, they are without equal and are usually the first to arrive and the last to leave. Versatile in their skills, their sharp minds can adapt to almost any environment.

WILD DOGS IN THE WILD
It is believed that the domestic dog descended not from the wild dog but from the wolf. This is primarily due to differences in social structure between these two species. Unlike the wolf, which orders its society in a strong hierarchy, wild dogs tend to act as a pack, without any formal social structure. Domestic dogs must accept their role as subordinate to their owners, and since wild dogs are not naturally submissive, they are unsuccessful as pets.

Cooperative hunting is conducted without a dominant animal and proves highly effective on long hunts when each wild dog takes a turn in the lead. This wears down the prey, which succumbs to exhaustion before its eventual disembowelment. After quickly feeding at the site of the kill, the wild dogs make their way back to the den to regurgitate the meal for the benefit of the pups.

CAREERS & HOBBIES

LOVE & FRIENDSHIP
A wild dog will not overwhelm you with its beauty, nor can it match the suave Tom Cruise style of the wolf. Instead, its mating strategy is summarized in two words persistence and endurance. By wearing down its quarry with an endless offering of flowers, cards, and romantic dinners, the prey eventually succumbs to sheer exhaustion.

The wild dog is clearly a dog at heart and is willing to romp with the best of them but manages to maintain its dignity under the most demanding bedroom conditions. It’s a highly principled individual and has every expectation that its marriage will be a permanent one, but its canine need for sexual variety is a powerful compulsion and ultimately the wild dog cannot ignore the call of the wild.

While there can be no question that its most compatible partners are to be found in the canine family, it's also well suited for productive relationships with other carnivores including badgers and bears. However, the wild dog is cautioned to avoid the sharp claws of its nemesis the wild cat.

THE SELF-EFFACING GORILLA
Gorillas are strong, unpolished individuals with a gruff exterior that conceals a soft and chewy center. They are capable, happy-go-lucky individuals with a disarming naiveté. Maybe a little hairy with a tattoo or two too, they are unpretentious and engaging creatures who brighten everyone's day with their enthusiastically warm greetings. Drawn to large and eclectic social groups, gorillas have little in the way of vanity, pay little attention to their physical presentation, and can even be a bit of a slob. A gorilla isn’t one to recycle or pick up after itself.

THE GORILLA'S INTENTIONS CAN BE DECEIVING
Even when a gorilla is smiling, there’s an underlying sense of menace that radiates from its personality, and it’s certainly built for physical confrontation. But it's difficult to imagine a gorilla actually inflicting bodily harm. However, if a gorilla or its family is threatened, transgressors quickly realize their mistake. With body hair standing on end, and its large frame at full height, a gorilla is a fearsome sight to behold. If you happen to find yourself in a child-custody battle with a gorilla personality, it's better to negotiate an up-front peace than endure a prolonged and bloody battle.

Gorillas are intelligent but not overly motivated, and when young, avoided all sorts of formalized learning. That’s why, as adults, their intelligence is largely described as “street-smarts”, and they have the kind of raw talent and problem-solving skills that make them excellent mechanics, plumbers or computer troubleshooters. .

THE GORILLA'S WORK LIFE
Gorillas are unmotivated by money, and will avoid strenuous physical exertion in favor of spending leisure time at play, and because their careers take a backseat to the pursuit of recreation, they rarely reach great heights in business. However, if they're lucky enough to find a job that incorporates fun and physical prowess - such as a personal trainer or professional wrestler - they usually rise to the tops of their field.

Gorillas' appreciation for the good life also puts them in good stead for careers in the service industry, including the hotel and restaurant businesses, and employers seem to appreciate the gorilla's gruff but can-do attitude.

GORILLAS IN THE WILD
Gorillas are the largest of the great apes; weighing up to six hundred pounds. Living in troops consisting of a single adult male and several females, gorillas do not defend a particular territory. When two troops do mingle, they generally ignore one another, and fighting between groups is rare.

With the exception of man, gorillas have no natural enemies, although leopards have been known to take the occasional youngster. Probably as intelligent as chimpanzees, gorillas are less volatile in their emotional makeup, belying their savage reputation.
