i was reading something online and i came across this quote... and it gave me an idea of starting a thread of pretty wise or well-written quotes...

"life is so grueling sometimes it pinches until it becomes unbearable ,but every one still love the taste and tries hard to survive the moment........" - basharath

Don't be discouraged by a failure. It can be a positive experience. Failure is, in a sense, the highway to success, inasmuch as every discovery of what is false leads us to seek earnestly after what is true, and every fresh experience points out some form of error which we shall afterwards carefully avoid.

Try as hard as we may for perfection, the net result of our labors is an amazing variety of imperfectness. We are surprised at our own versatility in being able to fail in so many different ways.

There are seven sins in the world: Wealth without work, Pleasure without conscience, Knowledge without character, Commerce without morality, Science without humanity, Worship without sacrifice and politics without principle. - Gandhi

Be strong!
We are not here to play,
to dream to drift;
We have hard work to do
and loads to lift;
Shun not the struggle--
face it; this god's gift.

Be strong!
It matters not how deep
intrenched the wrong,
How hard the battle goes,
the day how long;
Faint not-fight on!
Tomorrow comes the song

-Be Strong! by Maltbie Davenport Babcock

Life is just going to keep coming at you, take it as it comes
-Me

Patience is a virtue, however I am working on other virtues right now so patience will have to patient. :)

....to rejuvenate ourselves is our biggest challenge....

My most favorite quote:

"Without art, the crudeness of reality would destroy us all."
--George Bernard Shaw

It took me some time to digest it. I was like, "Art? WTF?" and then I thought about it some more in the metaphorical sense and it suddenly dawned on me that he was right.

"as faith would have it, you can't quit if you're not a quitter.
But you can let go without giving up!!!" - Marlow (<-- a buddy of mine on myspace)

Love that!

Trust who you are.

I asked for Strength,
And God gave me Difficulties to make me strong.

I asked for Wisdom,
And God gave me Problems to solve.

I asked for Prosperity,
And God gave me Brain and Brawn to work.

I asked for Courage,
And God gave me Danger to overcome.

I asked for Love,
And God gave me Troubled people to help.

I asked for Favors,
And God gave me Opportunities.

I received nothing I wanted
I received everything I needed.

"Courageous is the soul who adventures into time and space to learn of
their divinity. For while they cannot lose, they can think they have, and
the loss will seem intolerable.

And while they cannot fail, they can think they have, and the pain will
seem unbearable. And while they cannot ever be less than they truly
are - powerful, eternal and loved - they can think they are, and all hope
will seem lost.

And therein lies their test. A test of perceptions; of what to focus on,
of what to believe in, in spite of appearances.

Courageous indeed...the pride of the Universe, and I should know."
