Psychiatry is often used to squash political opposition to the authorities with political dissidents often being categorised as having 'disorders' for disagreeing with the authorities

The same tactic is often used when they call political opponents 'terrorists' when really a terrorist is someone who causes terror and no one causes more terror than states themselves

The INFJ is often identified with radical leaders who are challenging authority and this would suggest that their willingness to question authority would put them in danger of falling prey to the abuse of state power through psychiatry

Psychiatry does not use any research of brain chemistry but rather uses language to describe sets of symptoms which are then categorised under different 'disorders'

The categorisation scheme is now so broad that any human behaviour can fall under the scheme and be deemed by a psychiatrist to be a disorder

This was portrayed recently in the film 'oblivion' where Matt Damons character has to appear as neutral as possible so as to not incur the wrath of the machine he is speaking to which is assessing him:

Psychiatry is being used to drug more and more people into a submissive state so that they will tolerate an increasingly intrusive and draconian state and declining economic conditions

It has a long history of being used to control people and has become so prevalent in our society that now people throw words around like 'post traumatic stress' or 'narcissism' like confetee without really understanding the implications of what they are doing

The experiments were exported to Canada when the CIA recruited Scottish psychiatrist Donald Ewen Cameron, creator of the "psychic driving" concept, which the CIA found particularly interesting. Cameron had been hoping to correct schizophrenia by erasing existing memories and reprogramming the psyche. He commuted from Albany, New York, to Montreal every week to work at the Allan Memorial Institute of McGill University and was paid $69,000 from 1957 to 1964 to carry out MKUltra experiments there. These research funds were sent to Dr. Cameron by a CIA front organization, the Society for the Investigation of Human Ecology, and as shown in internal CIA documents, Dr. Cameron did not know that the money originated from the CIA.[SUP][41][/SUP] In addition to LSD, Cameron also experimented with various paralytic drugs as well as electroconvulsive therapy at thirty to forty times the normal power. His "driving" experiments consisted of putting subjects into drug-induced coma for weeks at a time (up to three months in one case) while playing tape loops of noise or simple repetitive statements. His experiments were typically carried out on patients who had entered the institute for minor problems such as anxiety disorders and postpartum depression, many of whom suffered permanently from his actions.[SUP][42][/SUP] His treatments resulted in victims' incontinence, amnesia, forgetting how to talk, forgetting their parents, and thinking their interrogators were their parents.[SUP][43][/SUP] His work was inspired and paralleled by the British psychiatrist William Sargant at St Thomas' Hospital, London, and Belmont Hospital, Surrey, who was also involved in the Intelligence Services and who experimented extensively on his patients without their consent, causing similar long-term damage.[SUP][44][/SUP]
It was during this era that Cameron became known worldwide as the first chairman of the World Psychiatric Association as well as president of the American and Canadian psychiatric associations. Cameron had also been a member of the Nuremberg medical tribunal in 1946–47.[SUP][45][/SUP]
Naomi Klein argues in her book The Shock Doctrine that Cameron's research and his contribution to the MKUltra project was actually not about mind control and brainwashing, but about designing "a scientifically based system for extracting information from 'resistant sources.' In other words, torture." Citing Alfred W. McCoy, Klein further writes that "Stripped of its bizarre excesses, Dr. Cameron's experiments, building upon Donald O. Hebb's earlier breakthrough, laid the scientific foundation for the CIA's two-stage psychological torture method."[SUP][46]

The idea of branding anyone who does not agree with your view of reality 'crazy' comes from the marxist 'Frankfurt School' who created critical theory which encouraged their proponants to deem their opponants insane for disagreeing in centralised state control

It's an interesting thing about the human mind that how it perceives things to be are not always how they actually are

Our society with its 'consumerism' ideology and its two party politics relies on manipulating the perceptions of the public, many of which are oblivious to it

Its a fascinating area...at least i think so!
