This is kind of a strange idea, and it doesn't quite stand up to logical scrutiny but it's a hypothetical I think about all the time since I came up with it like... 4 years ago I think?

Anyways, imagine the following scenario: all the products, music, food, etc. in the world that can be sold can only be sold to YOU. The people that work at these companies get food and clothing and whatever else they need for free but for reasons that are unexplained the only thing that keeps this wonderful system going is selling things to YOU and ONLY YOU.

So instead of thinking of the obvious cracks in this scenario, think of the following questions:

What businesses are going to be getting a boon since only your dollar counts and counts... millions of times more than normal for some reason...

What businesses should board up and close down immediately because they have no chance?

What Genres of movies and music are just gone because you don't care about them, or do they try to reinvent themselves? For example, say if you only like Metal now the whole reggae world has to sound kinda like metal to even have a chance of getting your dollar.

What would the world look like after only your dollar counts?

EDIT: and yes this includes religion and charity, so think about how they might have to change also to appeal to your sensibilities. In fact since you can't be a member of all religions at once- some of them are... going away. Which means they're going to be kind of desperate to change things up and bring you in.

Grocery stores would be opened, distribution centers, delivery and warehouses. No body would starve.

Lots of restaurants everywhere.

The funeral industry would only consist of those businesses that plant bodies under trees, no other type of funeral allowed. No non-renewable energy sales. No pet sales.

The music can all stay, except for those ones with creepy album covers with the corpse of a band member on it or whatever.
