Each year at this time we remember the Passover, that we are slaves in Egypt and that G-d brings us out with a mighty hand.

Each of us has times in our lives where we groan under various forms of oppression, whether it is addiction, mental illness, grief, poverty, dictatorship, debt, illness, or bullying. Do any of us get through life without knowing Egypt?

We also reflect at this time that although we may be free, many in this world are still enslaved, whether it is the starving in Somalia or the dying in Darfur, the disenfranchised in Tibet or the terrorized in Israel, those living under the cartels in Mexico or the mob in Russia, the child sex slaves of Thailand and illegal immigrants suffocating in the back of a truck in San Diego, whether the runaway being sucked into prostitution on the streets of Hollywood or the farmer crying over the loss of his olive trees in the West Bank.

G-d says through us to the Pharaohs of this world, Let my People go! We will not rest until all are free.

LaShanah Haba'ah Bi Yerushalayim! Next Year in Jerusalem!!!

For some reason, I wish to thank you.
