some of the colours seemed weird too and don't seem to correspond to their actual colours. no but really, i am crap at naming colours.

Or if you don't deal with colours such as salmon and peach on a regular basis.
Allot of the names of the colours sounded like names for house paints.
 
Burnt Sienna was the most stupid.

a) what's a sienna?
b) how particularly burned does it have to be?

Auburn was not auburn.
I will atest to that much.
I also have some arguments about
magenta, violet, eggplant, and mauve.

Ditto on that, I studied art theory at polytechnic for two years. :m125:
I dunno, maybe I'm just out of practice.
 
I will say I thought salmon and peach were easy to distinguish from another, though.

Not since I grew old enough to stop eating them.
 
Magenta was rather bright.

The most difficulty I had was distingushing aqua marine from cyan
 
I think I faired well on it. My occupation in printing helped I think.
But I'm not signing up someplace just to get results.

Really not a good test to take on a computer since you are looking at light emitted color produced using RGB color values.
Those colors are going to look different on every screen.
