A catalogue of must see movies.

Please place each movie title at the start of a new line... making it bold would be a good idea, but not if its too fiddly.

Alien
Aliens
Raiders of The Lost Ark
Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom
Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade
Misery
- an adaptation of a Stephen King novel

I agree with the Indiana Jones movies....Other ones are good too, but definitely Indiana Jones..

I will also say:

* National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (After * Thanksgiving dinner with family. It's tradition.)
* The Never Ending Story
* Willow
* (And every young girl should see) Ever After
* The Mist

A lot more, but I have to think about it. I haven't watched a lot of movies lately.

I loved Donnie Darko and liked Millers Crossing.

Some day I hope to figure out what I think about 80s kitsch novelty movies like Top Gun, Cocktail, Road House, Footloose, etc. A part of me loves them for being so wonderfully odd and original, and the other hates that they're so insubstantial and (seemingly) have little-to-nothing to offer us.

To me they're like a cat owner driving his cat up the wall with a laser pointer. It's a manipulative action designed to appeal to our most base senses in an inexpensive and shallow way.

That is what makes them fun though. Hmm. I will never figure this out.

I haven't seen the documentaries, will look into them :)

Lol my son once bought a laser pen, I had to take it off him, before our cat figured it out, and killed him.

I could also suggest Silver Linings Playbook or Hector and the Search for Happiness. Maybe scratch my documentary suggestions. They might be a bit dull.

Any movie, book, etc It's just personal taste. I liked Anchorman with Will Ferrell. My ex hated films like that. But then she would also complain she was depressed.

To me life has a lighter side. If you only watch films like Schindlers list, I think depression is inevitable. Good though it was.

I saw Get Out recently which was written and directed by Jordan Peele (of the show Key and Peele) and it was the most intense emotional roller coaster and social commentary/satire I've seen in a while.

Highly recommended to horror fans.

My stock answer for must see movie is still The Sting starring Redford and Newman.

It will always be in my mind... The original heist/conman movie.

Plus... Pineapple Rag... Solace... The Entertainer.... Nough said!

Goodfellas
Monty Python's Life of Brian
Natural Born Killers
Jurassic Park
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974)
Scarface
The Lion King
