I'm going to start a new thread- about more recent favorite music- I think it's really interesting to see how people's taste in music changes in time, and maybe how it stays the same!

Thanks! Way back when....lol....obviously since I list my age it’s been a few years since HS....I used to be kind of a melange of things according to my music in HS...punk rock, goth, a little grunge, but more euro-trashy....lol.

There is the ‘What are you listening to right now?’ thread...I would guess that is people’s favorite music currently.
But you could start a thread that asks - What bands or musicians have stayed with you since HS and what music from HS that you listened to do you think is awful now? lol
 
My taste in music was...different. A collection of cds I ordered included the soundtrack to the X-Files (it had some really weird stuff on it), Celine Dion's greatest hits, Babylon by David Grey, Rachmaninov concertos and classic rock ballads.

My taste in music nowadays is all over the place. Classical, Japanese trance, indie, mid 20th century jazz and anything else that piques my interest.
 
In the earlier years of what I believe roughly translates to high school I used to listen to a lot of 80s punk/emo, with some occasional screamo. As I grew older I stopped caring about genre and started listening to whatever. I started listening to more classical and jazz during this time as well.
