I have made threads about this before, but I am partly redoing this topic because of a few political topics that have come up. Also because I have started to realize that I am drifting away from liberalism over time, and I think I more fit the bill for a moderate now.

Here is a link to the test: http://www.moral-politics.com/xPolitics.aspx?menu=Home&action=Test&choice=Long

Post the results you get, and interpret them if you feel fitting to do so :D.

my results

I took a screenshot cause it's easier:

I'm skeptical of the accuracy of assigning political stances based on moral and/or scientific ones. It assumes that people want their personal beliefs legislated for everyone else.

Im at work so I can't do a screenshot, so I am near the bottom of the Y axis on the left side of it, a bit more southwest than Indy's.

I didn't really like it though, some of the questions I answered more conservatively than I believe. Because I was a bit more liberal, but not as liberal as the liberal answers. So it's a bit skewed.

9% are close to you.
27% are more conservative.
7% are more liberal.
27% are more socialist.
22% are more authoritarian.

I'm having a significant amount of trouble answering the God question, #1.

For #5, I think non-traditional lifestyles should be encouraged (i.e. vegetarianism), but that isn't an option.

/I can't seem to copypaste it. I got 5 on moral order and -1.5 on the other one.

I don't have a very high opinion of this test though. Many questions were worded in a way that no answer was really right for me.

I guess I have fallen further off the deep end than last time.

cheers,

All the way in the corner? Okay... although I would probably disagree vehemently with some of your opinions, I'm going to have to call that a WIN.

To be honest, I was not a big fan of this test.

It was all too general or subjective.

I vary between specific issues. I personally see myself more towards the bottom left than upper left.

Haha, thanks.

After taking the test, I came to a realization - there are (at least) two ways to answer the test, and I chose one of those ways - that is to say, I answered by my idealism.

That said, I think I might take it again and answer from another perspective - that of the pragmatist. I can have my ideals, but I also have to live in this world, and so perhaps I should choose those answers that best achieve a balance between my idealism and what I think and feel would be best for at least myself, if not others.

I don't think I will move out of the lower-left quadrant in any case.

cheers,
Ian

I think this is pretty accurate. I very much agree with social democraticism. It's kind of vague, but it needs to be, or else the questions would have to be specific and situational, which would make for a very long test.

Hmm, it seems like I am gonna have to do a lil bit of research to understand what all this means.
