Kara PS3 Demo: Quanitc Dream

Did anyone see Quantic Dream's PS3 Demo video? Of course David Cage made it into a meaningful short piece that shows off the graphic capabilities for the PS3. I just think it's a bit funny that he submitted this whereas I saw another PS3 demo that consisted of a scantily-clad fairy with a happy face.

Impressive. It doesn't quite cross the uncanny valley, though. Her face in particular is unsettling. She has an attractive face, and she emotes, but it isn't natural.

But you wonder, is that the point? She's artificial regardless of her reality. There'll always be something off about her, both for the player (who is aware of her as a character), and for herself in the narrative established by the demo. She's not like us. She's not natural. And we are ever aware.
