How would you compare her performance in August Osage County to previous films?

How would you compare her performance in August Osage County to previous films?

I haven't seen that film yet, but I am writing a piece about a man that
has aspergers and is obsessed with Meryl Streep so I have been doing
a lot of research on her and watching all of her films from oldest to newest.
As that is her most recent I am aware of, I have not watched it yet.
I really, really want to see it though for personal reasons as well as
for research. Having seen quite a few of her movies now and learning
more about her I have realized what a talented, strong, and intelligent
woman she is. She is not an actress to be type-cast. She can universally
play any role. It's amazing. I have no doubt that her newest film is
remarkable. Her talent is unbelievable, not to say the other women in
the category are talentless, I just can't help but to feel that a lot of
the women aren't as diverse as Meryl, which could easily be linked to
the fact that they're significantly younger in most cases and haven't
had as long as a career or life.

Ah, yeah. I think you're probably right about the range. It's tough to be a seasoned actor if you're continually getting the same type of roles. There's has to be the opportunity to do different types of characters to really be considered one of the best. I didn't see Doubt when it first came out but I caught it later on, it was an amazing film. It also had Phillip Seymour Hoffman. I liked Meryl's performance in It's Complicated. That was a really funny film. I haven't had the chance to see many of her recent work. Most of my impressions are from movies she did in 80s or 90s.

someone told me that if Streep had to be tried by a jury of her peers, theyd have to throw it all out of court, because shes peerless.
