Either fish and chips with malt vinegar, or egg and seaweed soup.

Gonna sound really vanilla, but I like plain white rice with butter and salt.

As long as it's food that I like, my face can get stuffed with it.

Jalapeno poppers, unfortunatly it seems almost impossible to find gluten free ones without deep frying them yourself.

Mac and cheese made with onions, jalapeños, mushrooms and smoked porked chops, fettuccini Alfredo with peas or asparagus, and chicken in mushroom sauce over white rice. Any of those work for me in times of need.

ice cream!

Velvety soft chocolate. ^.^

chips and salsa, ice cream, chicken soup

Kettle hand cooked chips (sea salt with crushed black peppercorns)
Anything chocolate related (M&M's, Fruit & Nut, ferrero rocher)
Fish (extra crispy) and chips (salt only)
Frijji chocolate fudge milkshake
Homemade wholegrain toast with marmalade or nutella
Cereal always works.
Danish pastry
Sweet and salted popcorn
Roasted peppers, hummus, pitta bread
Of course anything Italian or Indian

I should stop now!!

Dark chocolate

When I think 'comfort food' I can't help but crave my momma's traditional cooking.

Empanadas savory or sweet- Like a homemade hot pocket filled with spiced meats or fruit
Pastel de choclo- similar to a Shepard's pie
Humitas- similar to a tamale
Arroz con leche- rice, milk, cinnamon and sugar, served hot. Best warm fuzzy on a chilly day.
Manjar- a thick, caramel-like spread similar to Nutella, made from boiled-down milk and sugar, but of course I'm completely biased towards this. I used to eat this by the spoonful, till I discovered lactose intolerance. :p
Ceviche - minced raw sea bass in lemon juice

And of course, ice cream and warm peach cobbler.

*tummy growls*

I should have mentioned chocolate in some form or another. But that's not really a comfort food. It's more like sanity medication.

I don't eat for comfort. I eat for sustenance alone, like a real man.

I make a mean Papa a la Huancaína. If that isn't comfort food, I have no idea what is.
